Due to a few uncalled errands Ron and Hermione's wedding shifted to the middle of January. Though, it was a blessing that they could still get the winter under the tent they had arranged for the buffet and the sitting arrangement the guests would be gathering at.
From a week before the wedding, the Weasley family had gathered around the small barricades of The Burrow busy writing invitations and arranging necessities for the wedding along with Bill, Fleur, Charlie and Percy. Since Draco had graduated from Hogwarts, he was seeing Ginny for the first time in years and he couldn't tell that he was too comfortable with the situation.
Number of times, Harry had laughed on the events of the night of Christmas, calling it too dumb and silly of them to act like the way they had.
“With all due respect to my sister, who asks their boyfriend if they can go and shag some other bloke?” Ron had laughed.
From outside, The Burrow looked weirder than he had pictured for all the years before ever visiting the place. The building lacked the minimal architectural concepts, rather solely standing on the pure strength of the magic surrounding the walls to bind the structure together. Amongst all the green spread hills though, the house suited itself perfectly into a crooked angle to match the country side neighborhood which bordered the house with patches of fields and a garden.
Inside, Draco rested on one of the many couches jam-packed in the living room, mostly either transfigured or rented for the hundreds of relatives invited for the wedding, still dizzy and filthy from the floo he had arrived through. The loud ruckus of the family, which Draco preferred calling a crowd leaked through the chipped wooden door, that was otherwise covered in miscellaneous decorations.
Draco had anticipated some discomfort from the vast of Weasley kins gathered in the confinements to see a Malfoy roaming around on open grounds, but Percy Weasley wasn't one of them. It was maybe for the mere fact that he had lost count of the number of Weasley brothers he knew from Hogwarts alone or that he barely remembered his existence, but the man refused to stick around him more than half a minute, trying to fleet through the gaps of people while pretending to have seen someone of more interest than him. It could have been irrelevant to him if he hadn't been sitting in their living room with a glass of apple juice at the point.
“Are you fine now?” Pansy asked.
“Yeah,” he nodded.
“I know, you're feeling a bit awkward here.” she said again.
“Not true. I'm feeling very awkward.” he shook his head. “Where's Harry anyway? Haven't seen him.”
“Must be busy.” she shrugged her shoulders. “They are his best mates.”
With the passing hours of the day, the small gathering turned into a buffet of almost two hundred people as friends of friends and relatives of relatives started to fill under the tent to serve the purpose of the huge arrangements put together for the event. Around the midday, they finally saw Harry waltzing onto the grounds clothed in a maroon velvet two piece suit over a black shirt.
“Finally, Ron's ready and out of his misery. Seemed to think the robes made his hair look redder.” he said, once he reached the group.
“Tell him, that's not possible.” Draco shook his head without looking away from Harry, a lame attempt to distract himself away from the man.
Snorting, Harry shook his head at him. “Glad you all could make it. Especially you,” he nodded towards Draco.
“Yeah, it's a paid leave. Didn't have to pester much.” he shrugged, with his eyes planted on nothing beside Harry's head.
