"Now! Start rolling your hips, ladies!" The TV sang out.

"Yes, master Loco!" My voice belted out along with the ladies from the TV. I placed my hands on my hips and began swerving them in a 360 °  motion.

Master Loco, the famous fitness instructor, was one of my favorites to watch. His workouts always included fast-paced, intense routines yet they weren't overbearing like others I had done before. His workouts incorporated enough labor but still centered around having fun and enjoying the physical activity itself, something I constantly seemed to need to remind myself about.

As I continued the last of my hip rolls, my eyes remained glued to the TV where master Loco stood in the center, the camera zooming in on his body profile. My eyes traveled down his body until a set of six-pack abs captured my attention. 'Another reason why I like his workouts so much,' my brain teased.

"Lastly," master Loco's voice drew me back from my thoughts, "we will end the session with our Loco Pose!"

Suppressing a giggle, I matched master Loco's pace and counted down with him and the ladies from the TV.

"3, 2, 1, and Loco pose!" I screeched the last part as my arms created a cross over my chest and my legs squatted down, the famous Loco pose.

I shut off the TV soon after, making sure to release the CD from the player and returning it to its case. These DVDs were a rental and I had to make sure they didn't get damaged. A little outdated, I must confess, but this was the only way I had access to master Loco's workouts. The time I had attempted to divulge them from an online website failed miserably.

They were only posted on one very discreet and suspicious website. I hesitantly convinced myself to follow the link they offered and when the video player appeared, it took what felt like hours to load. Me, being the scaredy-cat I am, quickly came to the conclusion that the website was stealing my information off my laptop and selling it to the dark web.

Deciding to never experience that again, I tried asking at my local library if they had copies of the tapes, and by some miracle of the gods, they did. Which led me here today, completely engrossed in his workouts.

After I finished packing the DVD into its case, I made the mental note to remind myself to return this set. Today was the day I finished the first month of my new health journey with master Loco's workout. My mood was over the moon, knowing I was doing really well this time and kept myself in check with my workouts.

I placed the DVD set on my kitchen table and made my way to the fridge in hopes of finding a light snack to eat. After inspecting the shelves, I remembered that I had failed to go to the supermarket earlier today, which unfortunately left me with a borderline empty fridge.

Grudgingly, I hurried my way to the bathroom to take a light shower so I could go out and do some grocery shopping.

Making my way out of my apartment after locking my door, I saw some heavy duty boxes on the apartment to the right of mine.

'Someone must be moving in,' I thought to myself, surprised. That apartment had been vacant for as long as I've commenced living here, and that was well over two years ago.

Excited and hopeful that my future neighbor would be a cute girl my age, I began making my way down the fifth floor, opting for the stairs. I began my walk to the supermarket, one that was a close distance from my place. Knowing I was going to buy a small amount of food, I decided that the walk to and from there would be better than taking the car.

When I reached the supermarket, I collected all of the items on my grocery list and was about to make my way to the register until something caught my eye. Right next to the paper towels, was a column of workout powders, drinks, and the like.

I usually wasn't one to indulge in these types of products, but something about it drew me to the shelves. Out of curiosity, I began reading over the products to see if something caught my attention. I quickly glanced up and down until my e/c eyes landed on a product I had seen before.

'Master Loco's Famous Diet Pills for Women!' the label read.

These diet pills were ones that master Loco would recommend to us viewers or, as he would call us, his "little kittens." The pills supposedly aided to burn stubborn fat and would fasten your metabolism. Without a second thought, I threw the product into my bag and proceeded to check out.

After paying the cashier for my groceries, I began making my way out of the store, my thoughts lingering on the diet pills. I was a little flustered when the cashier had to ring them up, but if it meant doing something good for my health, then so be it.

'Maybe the pills will help...' I glanced down at my frame, unsatisfied with what my eyes observed. 'Hopefully, the pills will work.'

Adjusting the grip on my bags, I started my walk home until a tall man bumped into me, causing me to drop my shopping bags from the impact.

"WHO-" the tall man raised his voice as he turned around to face me but suddenly stopped when he saw my face. "Ah, a pretty lady."

I stared back at him shocked by his sudden mood swing. I ignored his comment and attempted to pick up my bags from the floor. As I bent down to pick up the bag, the tall man grabbed my wrist.

"Hey, pretty lady, don't ignore me~" the man cooed.

I couldn't help the cold sweat that ran down my spine. "Please, leave me alone," I spat out.

This only made the man angry. He tightened the hold on my wrist. "No need to be scared, it was only a compliment."

I remained frozen. My eyes quickly darted to my surroundings to make a run for it, unsure of what the man would do to me, and not willing to find out.

As I was about to jerk my wrist from his hold, another voice spoke from behind me.

"She said to leave her alone."

The tall man glanced back to the person who spoke and tsk'd in annoyance as he began walking away.

"Are you alright?" The voice from behind me spoke once again.

I turned around and my view was drowned out by a pair of bright olive eyes staring back at me with worry.

"Yes, I'm alright. Thank you for interfering."

The man gave me a small smile and proceeded to help me with my groceries. As he handed me the bag from the floor, a product fell out of it.

My eyes widened in horror when I saw him holding the one item I didn't want anyone to know I bought.

The diet pills.
