Katsuki snuggled close to Izuku, resting his head on the alpha's shoulder. He sat in the alpha's lap, knotted, and rested his legs around the other's waist. Izuku rubbed his head on Katsuki's, soothing the blonde.
It turned into a nightmare for them both. After every time Izuku finished, Katsuki would break down crying. The memory of being knotted by Haru Ito burned into his mind. Katsuki trembled violently as Izuku comforted him. The alpha consistently emitted soothing pheromones, rubbing his omega's back, and whispering soft words. Katsuki clung to Izuku for dear life, having his arm and legs wrapped tightly around the alpha. He cried into the crook of Izuku's neck.
Izuku's patience was immaculate. He managed to soothe Katsuki each time, and get him ready for another round. It was the third day, so the time between waves was the absolute shortest. Katsuki grew exhausted after each round, though.
"Deku, I need food." He whispered after he calmed down. Izuku whined, wanting nothing more than to to keep his omega with him. He could not follow Katsuki to the kitchen because of his pheromones. Katsuki's father had always been incredibly sensitive to them.
"Stay." Izuku said. Katsuki shook his head.
"I have to eat. I'm not in heat. I can't just wait." Katsuki replied. He kept his tone firm. Izuku whined, but nodded anyway. Katsuki gave him a kiss.
Once Izuku's knot had gone down enough, Katsuki slipped off him. He pulled on his boxers, gave Izuku another kiss, then quickly made his escape.
Izuku fell back on the bed, sighing in contentment. Having Katsuki with him was everything he needed and more. And while this may be temporary, he was on Cloud Nine. He waited patiently for Katsuki's return.
He had been practically attached to the blonde's glands for the last day. He wanted so badly to mark his omega, but every fiber of his being screamed for him not to. It created an uncomfortable twist in his gut whenever he attempted. He vaguely remembered feeling the exact same thing during their drunken incident.
It was like his body knew Katsuki better than he did. Katsuki seemed fine on the outside. He only ever seemed not-fine when triggered into a panic attack, which Izuku was slowly trying to figure all of said triggers out. But whenever Izuku dared to do certain things, such as mark or even just talk to Katsuki sometimes, he got an uncomfortable feeling that screamed 'DANGER!' in his face.
After one of the waves, Izuku wanted to ask about the triggers themselves, but the feeling stopped him.
At Shouto's party, he wanted to talk to Katsuki about what happened after the wedding. The feeling stopped him.
At the wedding, he wanted to ask about how Katsuki was and about how therapy was going. But the stupid feeling stopped him.
Even now, as he waited anxiously for Katsuki to return, there was so much he wanted to say. But he couldn't.
Izuku ran his hands through his hair with an irritated groan. Part of him questioned what would happen if he did not listen to the feeling. Part of said part dared him to. He wanted to test Katsuki's limits, but he would have to start small.
Katsuki returned with two sandwiches and some water bottles. He handed a sandwich and a water to Izuku, who whispered a thank you in return. The pair ate in silence for a few moments before Katsuki decided to break it. "What's on your mind?" Katsuki asked before taking a drink.
Izuku waited until he saw the blonde swallow. "You." He answered honestly. Just as predicted, Katsuki blushed a dark color. "Kacchan, why aren't you a hero anymore?"
He watched as Katsuki stiffened slightly. The blonde looked over with wide eyes. "Um... I think you know the answer to that fucking question." Katsuki said in a low tone.
