"Dude, we heard what happened." Eijirou said once he and Denki walked in. Izuku rose from his seat at the foot of the bed. He had been watching Katsuki sleep. He found the blonde cute and even took a picture. "How's he holding up?"
"He's a little shaky." Izuku replied honestly. "I actually got him to let me in, so that was pretty surprising. Um, Ryuu is at the vet. I'm going to give them a call and see how he's doing. I don't think Kacchan took his meds today, so keep an eye on him, I guess. I got him to calm down, and he's been sleeping for roughly ten minutes."
"Sooooo..." Denki started with a smirk. "When did the two of you become all buddy-buddy again?"
"Ah... I was in, um, rut, and I needed Kacchan. Took some convincing, but we did... that together. I was working when he called me, and asked for me to come get Ryuu." Izuku explained. He looked back at his sleeping omega. The blonde seemed so at peace when he slept. It was a nice contradiction to when he was awake.
"Well, you should probably go." Eijirou said. "Don't worry. We'll take care of him." Izuku nodded then left his apartment with one last thank you. Eijirou sighed once he heard the front door shut. He went over to the sleeping male, gently shaking him. "Wake up, Katsuki." He whispered. Katsuki's eyes fluttered open, revealing his scarlet irises.
"Hey..." He breathed out. He sat up slowly. His eyes caught Denki, who was waving excitedly. Katsuki sat up, rubbed his eyes, then focused on Eijirou. "Deku left?"
"Yeah." Eijirou replied. Katsuki leaned back on the pillows, sighing in relief.
"Thank fuck." Katsuki breathed out. Denki crawled into the bed, lying down next to Katsuki. Eijirou took a seat as well.
"Something wrong?" Eijirou asked with worried brows.
"No." Katsuki answered. "I just..." He glanced over at Denki then rolled his eyes. "I need to get this off my fucking chest. My boss at Nightfire was pissed that I missed work. That's fine. Whatever. He slaps me, hurts my dog, and then proceeds to drag me to the bar, so he can rape me. I'm too petrified, lost in my fucking own thoughts to fucking fight back. Whatever. But then that fucking jackass threatened my pup, and I fucking lost it." Katsuki admitted alas. He heaved a deep breath before continuing. "I don't think I've ever lost it that quickly. He tried to get away, but I pounced on him. I made some snide fucking comment about thinking twice next time then there was no next time, and then I fucking blew up his face. Literally. I'm surprised anyone was able to fucking I.D. him. Then the next thing I knew, I was calling Deku to come take care of Ryuu. Deku arrived, took Ryuu to an ambulance, I got handcuffed, Deku threw a fit with the officer who tried arresting me, I got uncuffed, and then I was taken here."
"Wow. That's... a lot." Eijirou exhaled with wide eyes.
"You're pregnant?" Denki whispered with wide eyes. Katsuki nodded. "Since when?"
"Your wedding." Katsuki deadpanned, and Denki's mouth fell open. "But Deku can't know. I'm not fucking ready to cross that bridge."
"He noticed you didn't take your meds this morning." Eijirou stated with a small frown.
"I'll get there. I just need time." Katsuki huffed out.
"You're going to start showing soon." Denki pointed out.
"I know. I just... fuck, I'm not ready. Let me get to where I can be honest with him first." Katsuki said with a small growl.
Denki raised his hands in surrender. "Honestly, man. If some guy threatened to kill my pup, he'd be dead too. So I don't blame you for killing him." He changed the subject. He had a strangely serious expression on. "I would've electrocuted his ass faster than he could finish his sentence."
"You're both terrifying." Eijirou muttered while shaking his head slightly. "Remind me to never mess with any pregnant omegas."
"I don't regret it." Katsuki deadpanned. "I mean, I did before. But I don't anymore. He wanted to kill my pup, who is only two months old, so I fucking killed him."
"The media isn't taking it too well." Eijirou said with a frown. He pulled out his phone then played a video.
The news reporter in the video stood outside Nightfire with a microphone in hand. "Yami Mori, the owner of the infamous club called Nightfire, was killed by one of his employees around noon today. This employee is Katsuki Bakugou. Or as we know him, the Ex-Hero: Ground Zero. The murder was allegedly committed as 'self defense'. Resources say Ground Zero committed the murder during a panic attack, and when Mori tried to help him, his support dog, Ryuu, lunged at him. Mori defended himself by using his quirk to fling the dog away. Then Ground Zero proceeded to attack Mori, killing him with an explosion to the face. For all of you animal lovers out there, Ryuu was last seen being carried into the veterinarian's office. Ground Zero was last seen in Pro Hero: Deku's arms, crying."
A low growl rumbled in Katsuki's chest the entire time he watched it. "That's not what fucking happened." He snarled. He noticed the change this time. He felt his claws dig into the sheets, bringing his attention to them.
Eijirou beckoned Denki off the bed. The honey blonde hid behind his alpha. Katsuki looked up with wide eyes. He paled at the raw fear in Denki's eyes and the apprehensiveness in Eijirou's. Katsuki looked back at his claws, watching as they retracted.
In that moment, Katsuki felt dread in his stomach. He placed his hands beneath his legs, sitting on them. His worst fears had come true.
Eijirou and Denki, the two people he relied on most, were terrified of him.
"Oh, you guys can go." Katsuki said to them.
"Are you sure?" Eijirou asked with a raised brow.
"Yeah. I'm going to go back to sleep." Katsuki told them with a weak smile.
Eijirou nodded softly. He and Denki bid their farewells then left.
Katsuki broke down the moment he heard the apartment door shut.
