Chapter Twenty-Three

Between Eijirou and Shouto, they managed to help Izuku into the house. They released him early on account of Katsuki being able to help him, but it was a struggle to get him to walk on his own. He felt light headed and sick whenever he stood up, so they asked for Shouto and Eijirou to help him get home since Katsuki wasn't allowed to. Before they left, however, they requested a harness for Ryuu and quickly taught the canine how to use it. Ryuu was a quick study, and he was quick to understand his new role.

Upon arriving, Katsuki's inner omega took over. He rushed inside, preparing a nest on the bed for his concussed boyfriend. Denki then assisted him with preparing food even though the electric male couldn't cook for shit. Izuku was forced to lie down in the bedroom to keep him from walking down the stairs. After making sure everything was settled, the others left the couple to their devices.

Katsuki pulled a bottle of water from the fridge then gave it to Ryuu. Ryuu took the water up to Izuku then returned to Katsuki's side once he finished. Katsuki continued cooking, making sure everything would be perfect for his alpha. Just as he turned the stove top off, a knock came on the door. Ryuu barked softly to alert Katsuki of their guest. Katsuki grumbled under his breath as he made his way over to the door.

When he opened the door, he was greeted by the not-so pleasant sight of both his and Izuku's mothers. Oh fuck-

"You-!"

"Inko, we talked about this." Mitsuki cut her off. "I know you're upset about Izuku getting hurt again, but you absolutely can not take it out on Katsuki." Mitsuki scolded her friend. Inko nodded then took a deep breath.

Katsuki's mouth felt dry for a moment. "I-I didn't- I didn't mean to." He stammered for words nervously. "I- He- I would never. I-"

"Kacchan?" Izuku's voice called from upstairs. Katsuki quickly made his way up the stairs to Izuku, desperate to escape his oncoming panic attack. Katsuki stormed up the stairs to get to his alpha. "Kacchan, what's wrong?" Izuku pressed. The omega entered the room, jogging his way over to the bed then quickly climbing into it. He snuggled up close to Izuku, nuzzling his head into the crook of his safe haven's neck. "Kacchan? Who's at the door?"

"Moms." Katsuki whimpered.

"Your mom is here?"

Katsuki nodded then pointed to Izuku. "And my mom?" Another nod. "Shit." Izuku hissed. Katsuki tensed up, trying to snuggle closer to Izuku. "Just breathe for me, Kacchan."

A loud bark made the omega jump. He clenched Izuku's shirt in his fist.

"Ryuu!" They could hear Mitsuki exclaim. "Go to Katsuki." She ordered. "Go." It wasn't long before Ryuu was running up, leaping onto the bed. He lied down then rested his head on Katsuki's thigh. "Izuku, sweetie?"

"Yeah?" Izuku called back.

"Can we come up?" Mitsuki asked him.

"In a minute." Izuku told her. He turned to Katsuki to give his omega his full attention. He gently rubbed his hands through Katsuki's hair. "What happened?" He whispered softly.

"She blames me." Katsuki whimpered.

Izuku exhaled, trying to keep himself under control. His inner alpha was screaming at him to defend his omega, but he had to calm down. This was his mother he was going to deal with. If for any reason she said something about Izuku or their pup while in a fit of anger, he wasn't sure if he could keep his omega from retaliating.

"I didn't mean it." Katsuki cried in a soft whisper. He tried pulling Izuku closer despite practically being on top of him already. "I never wanted to hurt Alpha."
