Chapter 15? Meh.

Obito's POV
     "Wha-?" I got cut off when I heard someone, who wasn't Furi, hollering.

    It took me a second, but when I recognized the voice I froze.

"Obito! What are you doing out here and not in the village? " That was Kaa-chan's voice.

   Wait, where did Furi and all the foxes go? Why is Kaa-chan here all of a sudden?

My thoughts got cut off when my wrist was grabbed and I was pulled off of the ground. I dangled in my mother's grip for a second as she scrutinized me.

"Kaa-chan. How did your mission go?" I asked, trying to mask my nervousness as she set me down.

"It went fine. Now answer my question." She glared at me, daring me to say anything, but the truth.

"Uh... Well, I... Uh..." I didn't want to give away Furi's secret, but I also didn't want to get in trouble.

"I was taking a walk around the village when I saw someone climb the wall and run here. I was chasing after them and tripped, that's why I was sitting down when you showed up," I paused to take a breath. "You showed up and the figure dissapeared."

I held my breath, but hid my sigh of relief when she started to scan the trees. As soon as she did a full sweep she dragged me back torward the village.

What a night. First I find out about Furi's pets then I lied to Kaa-chan, I thought as I sat on my bed.

I was exhausted, but to much had happened today to get any sleep. I decided that tomorrow I would confront Furi for leaving me to deal with my mother.

With that I lied down to sleep, smiling at the memory of tonight's events.
