The next few years were weird for Furi. After a year she was taken out of ANBU and given the title of a Jounin. On her 13th birthday, she received news that she was to take on a Genin team.

"Furi Chi Hatake. You have been evaluated and judged to see if you can be trusted with the immortality of Konohagakure. You are to train a team of Genin to be the best and the brightest this country has ever seen. Understood?" Minato was in Hokage mode, unrelenting and intimidating.

"Yes, sir." Furi stood straight, in full soldier mode.

"Here is your team's profile. They graduate in one week. You have until then to complete the paperwork and turn it in. And Furi?" Minato waited until he knew Furi was looking. "Take care. Dismissed."

Furi used a substitution jutsu on a leaf she kept in her bedroom. It was a trick she had learned a few months ago and it always came in handy for quick escapes; she's used it more than once when Minato starts worrying about her.

Furi sat on her bed, the profile of one of her students spread before her. She picked up the packet, flicking through it before pausing on a full page picture of the only female.

She had short, brown hair and classic Hyuuga eyes. Her name was Akira Hyuuga, a Branch member.

"Hmm..." Furi muttered to herself.
According to the academy reports she had the potential to be a ninjutsu specialist.

Akira was apparently quick to fight, something Furi would have to change.

The next student was Kaito Inuzuka. He had shaggy, brown hair and brown eyes; all in all, he looked like an Inuzuka. He was good at taijutsu, but seemed to prefer quick and easy missions.

Kaito's partner was named Taidana; which appropriately means lazy. Taidana was large enough for Kaito to ride already, and was pure black. He had belonged to Kaito's father and took on the role when Kaito's father had died.

Furi scoffed at how lazy some ninja managed to be- except for the Nara clan, of course.

The third teammate was Yuuzuki Uchiha, an orphan who managed to unlock the Mangekyo Sharingan already. He was a genjutsu specialist, no surprise there, but he also used taijutsu and ninjutsu to spice things up.

"A prodigy? This must be the usual best-dead last mash up then."

Furi stood up, putting the files in her dresser as she went. She opened her window and jumped onto the wall next to it. She closed the window, making sure it was trapped, before climbing to the roof.

For the next four days she watched her students from a distance, judging their character and putting together everything she would need to teach them.

With the permission of the clan heads, she studied them at home as well, getting a feel for how they truly were.

Akira was the class loud mouth, but made sure she was the best in class and kept up the Hyuuga reputation. At home, she was quiet and the perfect lady her parents wanted her to be.

The opposite could be said for Yuuzuki. At school he was aloof, quiet, and the perfect Uchiha. At home, he was loud and was so like Obito she had to leave a few times as the urge to cry over took her.

Kaito was the same at home and in Academy. He was lazy, but willing to do anything for his friends. He also trained a ridiculous amount, but a dead last in everything. A living contradiction, Furi had laughed at that.

"Team four is Kaito Inuzuka, Akira Hyuuga, and Yuuzuki Uchiha."

After all the teams were called Furi waited a few minutes before strolling into the room. A few people stopped and stared, curious as to why someone their age was there.

"Team four? Your sensei sent me to get you." Furi announced, using her 'no-nonsense, I'm an ANBU' voice; as named by Obito.

Team four looked to each other then shrugged, following the girl to a training ground on the edge of the village. The training ground was a 200 foot cliff over looking a lake.

"I'll be at the top. You have three hours."

Furi disappeared in a twist of leaves, using a Shunshin to arrive there. She looked over the edge, unsurprised to find Kaito looking extremely pale and kneeling on the ground. Taidana was pressed against him comfortingly, trying to ease the boys fear.

Kaito was deathly afraid of heights and this was the highest point in the village Furi could find.

Akira was studying the cliff, trying to find an easy way up the sides she could see. Yuuzuki was hurriedly glancing between he cliff and Kaito, putting together the pieces.

"Get on. I'll carry you up." Yuuzuki keeled in front of Kaito, his back to him.

Kaito hesitated for a minute before Taidana said something to him.

"Thank you." Kaito whispered as the others started to climb.

They were all using their chakra, something Kaito didn't know how to do as his mother wasn't a shinobi and no one else would teach him.

Yuuzuki quickly grinned before hiding it behind a cold mask, making those who had seen it roll their eyes. Akira was quiet, glancing every few minutes to her new teammates before gluing her eyes forward again.

They all got along quite well, Furi thought. Kaito avoided Akira, Akira avoided Yuuzuki, and Yuuzuki was friendly to everybody.

Two hours later they pulled themselves up the side of the cliff, collapsing on the ground. Halfway up Kaito had gotten off Yuuzuki and started to old-fashion climb on his own. It took him a bit longer, but Taidana helped him when he slipped.

When they reached the top the girl was pointing to a hole in the ground. It was dark and looked barely large enough to fit Taidana.

"Your sensei is down there. You have an hour to find them."

As Furi used another Shunshin into the hole she used one of her summons to watch the proceedings.

Akira was scares of being blind, and was refusing to go near the hole which was entirely dark.

Yuuzuki sighed after ten minutes of trying to coax her near the hole and started to perform a Katon justu. He blew a small stream of fire onto a stick he henged into a candle.

Henshoku-Shita Sat in front of them before swishing his tail and henging into a large snake; Yuuzuki was absolutely terrified of snakes.

Yuuzuki automatically activated his Mangekyo and started to bleed from his eye. Henshoku-Shita dodged every ball of Amaterastu Yuuzuki shot at him.

After a few minutes Henshoku-Shita reverse summoned Furi, who was henged into an adult version of herself.

"Stop. Uchiha, get rid of the fire."

Yuuzuki took a deep breath and extinguished the black flames. The three teens stared at the woman in front of them who looked feral.

"I am your sensei. You may call me Sensei. Go home and tomorrow is when we start training. I'll be taking you somewhere for two months." Furi let that sink in for a moment before using the substitution justu and appearing in her brother's living room.
