Narrator POV

"Carrot~" Rumi purred into your ear, wrapping her arms around your neck.

You were watching TV and hadn't noticed her get close. You hummed in response.

"Don't get me anything for Valentine's day. Okay? I let you spoil me last year ONLY because you begged. I'm not giving in this time," she said.

You huffed and sighed in agreeance. Once Rumi had her mind set up, there wasn't much you could do to change her mind. She kissed your cheek.

"Good. I've got to head out now, don't stay up for me, okay?"

"Aww, can't you stay just a bit longer?" You tried to reason with her.

"Carrot, I'm going to be late."

"Please..."

She sighed then jumped over the couch and pulled you in.

"You're lucky I love you," she said.

You smiled at her and took in her scent. Everything about this woman...was just amazing. What would life be without her by your side?

That night, Rumi got to work just on time. You were scrolling on your phone looking for a certain something...just for her by the time she got home. That night was two weeks before Valentine's day.

"Carrot, wake up~," Rumi said, giving you a kiss in between each word. You groaned and rolled over. She was on all fours on top of you. Her eyebrow raised after you didn't wake. She pulled the covers down and pulled your shirt up just enough to expose your stomach. A chuckle came out of her mouth before she started placing gentle kisses there. 

Your eyes jolted open, unaware of the situation. You were overcome by a ticklish sensation. Once she noticed you were awake, Rumi trailed her hands up your body.

"Good morning, beautiful," she cooed. "Guess what today is, my wonderful valentine..."

You laughed and wrapped your arms around her waist. Then with all of your strength, you pulled her down on top of you. Since she was taken by surprise, you managed to succeed.
