. . . author's note . . .

A very important part of the story is the fact that the twins have no idea what Rachel looks like and she has no idea how the twins look like since the wall between their cells prevents them from looking at each other (the twins share a cell btw). So to be clear, none of them have any idea how the other looks and they've only heard each others' voices through their cells. I just want to clarify in case that it wasn't clear since it is a very important piece in the story.

. . . back to the story . . .

NO ONE'S POV

A few months had gone by; the twins were now occasionally allowed to leave their cells so the scientists could study their powers, the experiments didn't seem to be killing Raquel but they also didn't seem to have any effect on her. The twins and Raquel weren't close - mostly because of Raquel's trust issues - but they were starting to trust each other. Pietro was still convinced that he had no feelings towards Raquel, except for the occasional worry and concern; Wanda actually liked Rachel (as a friend) and thought her brother did too; Rachel didn't mind the twins and thought they were nice but she wouldn't allow herself to get attached.

RACHEL'S POV

I woke up, strapped to the bed in the darkroom, I guess I had passed out due to the pain and that they hadn't moved me back to my cell. I could hear voices arguing somewhere in the room.

I recognize Strucker's voice and I guessed that the other man speaking was one of the scientists. You could hear by the way he talked that he was afraid of Strucker.

"Почему она не меняется" (Why isn't she changing?) - Strucker violently asked one of the scientists.

"Мы не уверены, похоже, что ее тело не пострадало от этого вещества" (We are not sure, her body doesn't seem to be affected by the substance) - the shy man replied.

I realized that they were talking about me. I did my best to stay quiet so they wouldn't notice that I had woken up.

"Она не меняется, но и не умирает !? (She is not changing, but she isn't dying!?) "Как это возможно?" (How is that possible?) - Strucker replied, he was mad I didn't blame the poor scientist for being afraid of him.

In the past few months, I realized that Strucker didn't accept mistakes, as a matter of fact, he would actually kill anyone that dared make any mistake. Even I was terrified of him, I was just better at hiding it.

"Мы не уверены, сэр! Как будто ее тело невосприимчиво." (We are not sure sir! It's like her body is immune) - Replied the scientist. "Как мы продолжим?" (How do we proceed?) - It seemed as if he was too afraid to ask the question because he already knew the answer to it.

"Убей ее! ГИДРА не допускает ошибок, и она именно такая" (Kill her! HYDRA has no room for mistakes, and she is just that) - Strucker responded.

"Да сэр!" (Yes sir!) - the scientist was clearly shaking as he said it, but he tried to sound brave. "Что нам делать с ее телом?" (What do we do with her body?) - the scientist added.

"Пусть мальчик-близнец избавится от нее!" (Let the twin boy dispose of her!) - and with that Strucker left the room.

The scientist quickly left the room and soon after the guard came in. I could see that he was panicking and I realized, this was the man that was going to kill me.
