CHAPTER EIGHT

Akiaria - Right now; The Present
Well, now that I've gotten my tour.. I might as well check out the dragon training academy, or.. Whatever it was called.

'Wow, you've already forgotten, good job Akiaria.' I had sarcastically thought to myself, rolling my eyes, while walking towards the bridge that leads to the academy.. 'Wow, the bridge is admittedly very, very, long. How do the Berkians even handle how long this is?!', I had thought again, setting both of my feet onto the first step of the very long bridge. It seems to be as long as, well.. Lets see.. Atleast five Seashockers, wow, thats a surprise.. I guess?

I continue walking on the bridge, heading to the academy. 'Are you serious? Hydron went there without me?!' I had thought when I saw a speck of a lion's tail, and an eagle's head. "This is so unfair." I grumbled quietly, walking a bit faster.. Than I originally intended to.

Akiaria - Right now; The Present
"Finally, I've arrived to the academy-", I stopped and took a deep breath, looking around using my eyes, "-I see.. Basically nothing, except.. 'Training equipment', or whatever Hiccup said the stuff were called." I finished mumbling quietly, sighing. "Now, why did I go here again?"

I swear to Thor, I'm such an idiot. Oh, wait. "Oh yeah I remember now- Just to check it out, damnit. Wait.Why are there cages?! Are these people forcing dragons to serve them? Are the cages their little 'time out' space? Do they still hunt and kill dragons? I swear to Thor, why- Why do I keep meeting unlucky ends." I mumbled quietly, then I went outside of the academy in a fast pace, I called out to Hydron, "Hydron- Come on.".

"What is it, Aki?"

"I don't know.. But uh.. Do you think the cages there in the 'dragon academy' are actually cages?"

"No, why? But.. I'm still keeping my guard up, just in case anything happens.. To you."

"I'm glad you care about me, Hydron." I mumbled, stroking her feathers as she was now in the air, flying, "But, Hydron, you know... I'm worried about you too, you know? We both aren't immortal or invincible, so, I guess our guard being up 24/7 makes sense.", I finished my sentence with a sigh, I fixed my obsidian-colored scarf a little bit, and my blue eyes scanned the area for any dangers.. Changewings, Seashockers, Thunderdrums, Death Songs- Wait, no.. Nevermind.. Death Songs are only seen way outside the archipelago- Scauldrons, Scuttleclaws- BEWILDERBEASTS, EVEN! Uh, where is my creativity going.. Theres like, only one, or two Bewilderbeasts left, if I remember correctly. Maybe three? Nah, they're most likely two.. I think.

I got snapped out of my trance when I heard the loud sounds of wings flapping. 'No.. Too unfamiliar.. Definitely not Hydron, I'm already riding her- Definitely not Toothless, either. Eh, and it can't be Flashback because he's probably dead.', I had thought. 'Uh, all this thinking, and t-the mentions, of.. F-Flashback, this is making me cry.. I should.. Probably- Wait, no.. I should, uh, most likely.. Most likely, uh, stop.. Thinking about.. Flashback.. Uh, I did it again.. I'm gonna cry, I'm gonna cry!'. I hadn't really noticed a single tear fall until Hydron told me about it.

"Aki, you okay? You're crying again," she mumbled, looking at me, "I think you don't look 'fine', should we land? You know, to talk about.. All this?".

"No, I prefer up here, nobody is going to hear it. And, I'm fine.. It's just.. I'm thinking of.. Flashback.. Again." I mumbled, another tear falling from my eye. "I-I'm sorry, I'm probably getting your feathers wet.", I suddenly apologized, but like always, Hydron had interrupted somehow, with the following words, of, "No, no, Aki, it's alright, you can cry. Let it out, let it alllll out, Aki.", and so, I did. I cried, and cried, until there were nothing left.

Akiaria - Right now; The Present
It was, uh, I don't know, midnight by now.. It had been hours of me crying, and, and.. Shouting it all out, shouting out all of my problems - every single one, even the tiny problems I have - to Hydron, while she tried calming me down with a 'relaxing' flight, she calls it that. I don't get it. Why did Flashback have to leave me so early?

"Hydron?"

No response. But a few minutes - or seconds, depends - later, there was one.

"Yes..? I'm listening, Aki, you always know that."

But, I was already asleep.

Hydron - Right now; The Present
I chuckled lightly when I turned my head around and saw Aki asleep, her head resting on my feathers. I lightly glided down to the ground and curled up in the middle of the streets of.. What was it called again? Oh, yeah, Berk. In the middle of the streets of Berk where it was dark, no source of lighting anywhere. The torches were unlit. I closed my eyes after a few more minutes of trying to get the perfect spot, I lightly pushed Aki to the middle of the curled up pile of me and her, luckily, she didn't wake up and I cuddled her with my wings, and slept a few minutes later, curled up, just like how a Night Fury would.

Little did I know, the entirety of Berk was watching- From the inside of the Great Hall.
