*Lucy's POV*
Stacey, Dylan, Thomas and I all walked together tonight. I couldnt keep the smile off my face. Stacey and I had just got changed into our PJs and we were now in our rooms getting ready to go to sleep.
I've been trying to go to sleep for half an hour now. All I can think about is Thomas. Everytime I think back to our conversation in the pub, I cant help but smile. I heard a loud bang coming from the hallway. Then nothing. I dismissed it and tried to get back to sleep again. BANG! I shot up in to a sitting position and swung my legs off the side of the bed. I crept slowly to my bedroom door, quietly opening it. Stacey obviously heard it too, because she was already standing outside her bedroom door. We looked at eachother and the worry across my face could easily be seen. Stace put a finger up to her lips, telling me to be quiet. I nodded and stayed at my bedroom door as she began walking slowly towards the front door. Suddenly, the door flew off its hinges and a tall, well built guy stepped inside. When I took a better look at him, my breathe got stuck in my throat. Stacey stopped walking and stood there staring at him. He's back. He's come back to get me like he said he would.
"What the bloody hell are you doing here?" Stacey hissed at him. He didnt bother answering her. Just stared at her.
"How did you find me?" I whispered, but it was loud enough for him to hear me. Relief washed over him. This is what he does. Pretends he's so happy to see me, I turn him down, he lashes out. Before Stacey found out what happened all those years ago, I was convinced it was completely my fault that he got angry at me. He began walking towards me but Stacey put her hands out.
"Dont take another step towards!"
"Move out of my way, Stacey. I just want to talk to her." He looked at me and smiled. Back then, I would have swooned. Now, it disgusts me.
"You arent getting anywhere near her." Stacey began pushing him back towards the door, well, what was left of it.
"Get your hands off of me!" He screamed in Stacey's face, but Stacey didnt stop. I wanted to tell her to stop, but I couldnt find my voice. They started screaming at each other. I saw his hand go up in the air. I screamed and covered my eyes. But I never heard Stacey's scream or a slap. Instead I heard a crash. I took my hands away from my face and saw Dylan and Thomas had come in and had pushed him down and he had fallen onto the table. I didnt realise I was crying until Stacey came over and wrapped her arms around me. Dylan and Thomas started dragging him out of our appartment. We followed them and saw they were taking him out into the street. Dylan and Thomas threw him on the ground.
"I'll get her back, just you wait and see!" he screamed at them.
"Over my dead body!" Thomas snickered. I turned around and began heading back inside and up the stairs. I could sense them all walking up the stairs behind me.
"What are we gonna do Stacey?" I turned round once I got to the archway where our door used to be.
"I dont know.."
"You can stay with us!" I lifted my head and looked at Stace. She just stared at Dylan.
"Are you sure? We dont want to intrude."
"Its not a problem! Come on in!" Dylan opened the door and Stacey followed him in. Thomas turned and looked at me, searching my eyes as if he could see what was going on in my head.
"He's what you're getting over, isnt he?" I just nodded.
"Did he hurt you?" Thomas hissed and his eyes narrowed.
"Another time, yeah?" I answered while walking into their appartment. Thomas didnt argue but I could tell he wanted more answers. I just wasnt ready to give them.
"Okay, so where do we sleep?" Stacey asked Dylan when all of us where inside.
"Well, how about you stay in with me? Lucy can sleep in Thomas's room?"
"Sounds good. You okay with that Lucy?" Stace turned to look at me and I just nodded.
"Come on Luce." Thomas took my hand and lead me in to his room. I sat down on the edge of his bed as he closed the door. I didnt feel comfortable getting straight in to his bed. He clearly noticed that and came over to sit with me.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." I gave him my best fake smile.
"You dont have to pretend you know. I know you're scared. I wont let him near you. Neither will Dylan and Stacey." Thomas took my hand in his and we just sat there, in a comfortable silence.
"Thanks Thomas." I whispered so quietly that I was surprised he heard me.
"Dont mention it." He let go of my hand and got into his bed, so I took that as my cue to climb in too. I didnt know what to do, so I just lay on my back, staring at the ceiling.
Thomas turned over on his side so he was facing away from me. I did the same so now our backs were facing each other. Just before sleep took over my body, I felt the bed shift and an arm wrap around my waist, pulling me towards their chest. I smiled slightly as I finally fell asleep.
