This Is Who We Are

Chapter 2

 When Peter woke up he looked down to see he hadn't changed out of his suit worried that Betty might come down and want to walk to school. Striping out of his suit as fast as he could he began his normal daily routine, he found it weird that he couldn't hear May running around the kitchen trying to be quiet well she burned everything so he looks at his phone to see three texts from May and one from Betty. 

"Hey, sweetheart just texting to make sure you wake up call me when you are." 

"Peter are you up Call me." 

"Pete you need to wake up I know you were out late on patrol but that's no excuse to be late." The next text was from Betty. 

"Tiger are you on your way don't want to talk to Veronica by myself." 

To say he was panicking was an understatement he looked at his phone 8:15 it said. He had 15 minutes to get to school on time so he needs to get a move on, he grabbed his suit throwing some clothes in his school bag and swing out of the house. He was swinging as fast as he could leaping over cars, even webbing onto a helicopter just to get to the train that was in front of him landing in a very spideristic pose he leaped forward and launched himself over a building he began to run up. 

"Wooooo." As he landed on the side of a building by the school, he began to pull his clothes over his suit hoping that he could beat the bell he saw Betty standing there looking for him. 

"let's have some fun" he muttered to himself jumping down he landed and began to spin Betty around causing her to shriek, she smiled when she looked at who had grabbed her. 

"O haha Parker, cutting it kinda close for your first day back at Riverdale high don't you think tiger," she said with a sassy smirk. 

"Very funny Betty but I slept through my alarm and May left the house early to get to the hospital so I was left to wake myself up." 

"Alright, mister drama queen we have to give that tour today remember," she asked with a raised eyebrow. 

"Right, Ronnie damn I forgot to get her present from under my bed before I left," Peter said as he slapped his palm against his head. 

Betty felt a sting in her chest when he called Veronica by her nickname; it made her feel small, Peter saw the change in Betty's demeanour and rapid his arms around her and gave her a small smile. As both Betty and Peter entered the school and headed to the student lounge to see everyone, Peter couldn't help but miss his friends in New York. As they entered Peter heard a voice he thought he would never hear again. 

"Sup, loser," he laughed hearing her voice again. 

"Michelle Jones as I live and breath, what the hell are you doing here." They both laughed and hugged each other, Betty felt a little out of place until Michelle introduced herself. 

"Sup I'm Michelle but you can call me MJ," she said with a friendly smile. Peter's jaw dropped. 

"Wait what you allow her to call you MJ on the first day you meet her but it takes me three years to be allowed to call you by your nickname," Pete said with a dumbfounded look on his face.

 "Course she's cool so why not give her the luxury of being my friend," MJ said with a smirk. 

Pete just walked off with a sour look on his face saying that he would meet Betty at the front office. As he walked off the girls began to giggle at his puppy-like attitude, as Betty entered the office she saw Veronica talking to the office clerk, but the weird thing was Peter wasn't there. 

"Hey Veronica where did Peter go," she asked, a little confused at where her friend could have got to. 

"Went to go tour with another kid, one of them is a mutual friend of ours Ned Leeds and the other is someone named Harry Osborn he and Pete were Best friends when they were kids because his dad worked for Harry's Dad,"
