Chapter 6

After the school day had ended Peter thought that it may be a good idea to not put the suit back on today after everything that had been going on and his rouges gallery showing up out of nowhere it was better if spider-man took the day off. As he walked to pop's he saw Betty waiting for him outside smiling he made his way over to him. 

"Hey," he said walking up to her. 

"Hey yourself tiger," she said before pecking his lips. "How's it going with Archie? he the same knucklehead we grew up with."

 "still a knucklehead," Betty said with a sigh. 

"Hey we'll get through this," Peter said with hope. "I hope so Pete, so what's the plan for the rest of today." 

"I don't know the city should be safe for now but if you want we can have our first date at pop's." 

"Sounds nice!"

"So wait Peter fell on his face just from tripping over an apple?" Jughead asked, Michelle as they were on their way to try and save the twilight drivin. 

"Yeah broke his glasses and everything he had to put his contacts in until he could get new glasses, and let's just say he hated every minute of it," MJ finished with a smirk. 

"Yeah knowing Pete he would hate contacts," Jughead said. 

They walked in a bit of an awkward silence Jughead couldn't place it but he felt like annoying the hell out of Michelle like he would Jellybean god did he miss his little sister when his mom left Jellybean bagged Jug to hide her, she didn't want to go with their mom she was an addict, and a drug lord once tried to get the serpents deal hardcore drugs but nobody wanted to do that, the gang always thought that as long as they protected the southside from the ghoulies and kept hard drugs out of kids hands the southside could get better. 

"So, what's the plan to get the mayor to allow the drive-in to stay open," Michelle asked. 

"Give her the sob story about me and my sister Jellybean, then talk about how when I saw the wizard of oz I would think about my missing half-sibling," MJ was surprised their dad told both him and Jellybean about her, she was trying not to cry. 

"Did he mention every meeting her," she hoped the one time she met him he would at least described her to her siblings. 

"No, came home drunk out of his skull and depress, It what cause my Mom to up and take Jellybean, but where ever they are I wish I could tell them I love them," MJ felt happy that maybe when she found F.P she could then tell Jug.

"Mayor Macoy, you can't just sell the twilight drive-in!" 

"I'm sorry Jughead but my hands are tied Andrews construction is due to demolish the drive-in after this last showing and unless you have a counter offer nothing is going to save it." when Macoy said this made both Michelle and Jughead mad. 

"Mayor Macoy! when I was a kid my parents never had enough money for all of us to go to so me and my younger sister Jellybean would hide in the trunk and once the previews began we would come out of the trunk and watch the movie as a family," Jughead said this holding out hope that this would buy them enough time to scrape some money together. 

"That was a very nice sentiment Jughead but I can't do anything I'm sorry the drive-in isn't profitable anymore," after this was said both Michelle and Jughead left to go and set everything up for the last show.

"Hey May I'm home," Peter said stepping into the apartment that was almost right on the border to the south and northside of the city.
