Every town has one. The spooky house that all the kids avoid. Ours was Thornhill, the Blossom family's mansion, with its very own graveyard. And, trapped within its walls like some Gothic heroine, was Cheryl Blossom. Still grieving for her beloved brother, Jason. Linked in death even as they were in life.

When Peter woke up the next morning and saw Betty fast asleep he couldn't help but smile at her.

"Morning," she said yawning.

"Morning love." He responds.

"Do you want me to take you home or swing us to school," Peter said.

"How about we start with some breakfast babe then we'll worry about the mode of transportation," she said getting out of bed and going to make them some breakfast, that's when he heard his phone buzz wondering what was going on he looked and saw a text from Kevin.

"Get to school now we have a problem with Jason's Murder case." Seeing this he jumped out of bed and began to get ready.

"Betty forgets about Breakfast Kev wants us at the school."

"This is how my dad had his Jason Blossom murder board before it was trashed," Kevin informed.

"Any leads on who did that? Or what they were looking for?" MJ asked.

"Nope. No fingerprints. But they stole a bunch of files, background checks, and all the video and audiotapes of police interviews." Just as Kevin finished a boy named Trev walked into the blue and gold staring directly at Betty.

"Hey, Betty..." the boy said.

"Trev, hi!" Betty said.

"Sorry to interrupt..." the boy stuttered.

"Oh, no... Uh, it's okay." Betty reassured, "We're just, uh, working on..."

"Our murder board." Jughead finished. The boy looked stunned at what Jughead said.

"What do you need loser we're kinda busy," MJ said cooly.

"Well, I just wanted to make sure we're still on for tomorrow?" Trev said.

"Absolutely, it's a date." Peter crushed the glass that had his coffee in it causing blood to run down his hand.

"I mean, I'll... I'll see you there. Bye." Betty finished trying not to laugh at her boyfriend's jealous side.

"So, I'll see you. Bye." "So... Bye." Betty said.

"Going on a date with Trev? Does Mama Cooper know about that?" Kevin asked.

"Kev, I'm not on house arrest." everyone gave Betty a look.

"Okay, she's out of town at a Women in Journalism spa retreat," Betty said.

"Anyway, it's not a "date" date," Betty said not meeting Peter's eye.

"You just called it a date. You literally said, "It's a date." Jughead said with some sass laced in his voice.

"Hate to break it to you Cooper but he has you there," Michelle said teasingly.

"That's just my cover. Really, it's an intelligence-gathering mission. We should focus on the one thing we have access to that your dad doesn't. The kids at Riverdale High." Betty finished.

"Yeah ponytails right You know, maybe Trev knows something about Jason he didn't think was important," Michelle added coming to Betty's defence.

"Thank you, MJ at least some of us listen when I make suggestions!"
