Nikolai Aldane was the firstborn to Hadrian and Luna Aldane. Firstborns in the Aldane line were the most powerful and King Adam was afraid of what this power could do so he decided to send the family to the Isle of the Lost. The decree was held back 4 years and in that time Hadrian and Luna had another child, a girl by the name of Lorelei. King Adam had heard of Lorelei being born and had to rush the banishment but while the family were being escorted to the Isle, something horrible had occurred.
The guards were manhandling the children when Hadrian and Luna tried to fight back. But what they didn't know is that the king had ordered the guards to kill the parents and the infant if they fought back. The guards then slit the parent's throats and bludgeoned Lorelei to death all the while Nikolai watched and screamed for them to stop, his powers begging to be released and protect his family. Nikolai knew he couldn't fight so he let them take him to the Isle.
He ended up on the Isle an hour later with villains sneering at him as they walked by. He decided to get a lay of the land when he bumped into a man with blue fire for hair. He told his story to the man - known to him now as Hades - and Hades had a newfound hatred for the so called 'heroes' in Auradon so he decided to adopt Nikolai as his own and make him as strong as he can be.
12 years later, Nikolai's more powerful than ever with a loving father by his side, perfectly controlled powers and a personal vendetta against Auradon.
