12.5: Pineapple Head

(A/N: This chapter is about Shika's POV on the field trip. You can skip this chapter because it doesn't really affect the plot of the story. I would just like to share Shika's side of the story).

Shikamaru's POV

Today marks the first day of our 3 days and 2 nights trip to Kiri City. I usually don't get so much hyped and worked up to these kinds of things. But right now, I'm feeling a little excitement flowing through my body. I doesn't really matter whether I'm excited or not, but one thing's for sure.

These next 2 days is gonna be so troublesome.........

I arrived at the school almost late. I did set an alarm before sleeping but I ended up snoozing it. Don't deny it, we all snooze our alarms.

Me and Sasuke walked through the hallway and made our way to the classroom.

I opened the door and saw my classmates almost complete. I guess we're the only one they're waiting for.

"Why are you two late?!" Sakura asked us with an angry tone, making sweat-drop a little. I'm surprised on how Sasuke handles her anger issues.

"Shikamaru here, woke up quite late." Sasuke answered his beast mode girlfriend while pointing at me.

Great, now I'll be scolded again.....

"You lazy-ass! Set an alarm or something! I was so nervous earlier. I thought you two won't gonna come anymore." She scolded me. By she, I meant Temari.

"Now, now, let's calm down, it's a good thing we're complete now right Hinata?" The idiot asked with his usual grin and looked at Hinata.

"Th-that's right......." Hinata blushed with a shade of crimson red plastered on her cheeks.

"Eh? Hinata? Are you alright?" Naruto asked while leaning closer to Hinata's face. This idiot don't really notice Hinata's feelings huh?

"I'm a-alright Na-Naruto-kun......." She answered blushing even harder.

I ignored their lovey-dovey moment and just relaxed at my seat, yawned and minded my own business, until, I got startled at the sudden statement of a certain pinkette.

"Seriously, you two should go out already!" Sakura said teasing them, making Naruto blush and Hinata blush harder. Her crimson red cheeks turned to a darker shade that can be noticed so easilly.

Weird, I haven't seen him blush before like this......

I cut them off of their romance paradise. "We should talk about what we will be doing later instead of talking about romance." I said and earned a glare from Sakura.

"Oh please, they honestly looks so good together!!" Temari exclaimed like a fangirl finally seeing her favorite ship sailing. "We will go to museums and places anyway. We won't get the chance to roam freely until the third day. Don't sweat it too much lazy-ass." She continued. I don't want to argue more, so I answered with my go-to complain phrase.

"What a drag......" I then yawned and kept quiet. Speaking will get me to more trouble.

"Alright everyone, we will be riding the school bus. Group members will be sitting with each other. Everyone! Get your things ready and let's go!" Everyone stood up and followed Kakashi Sensei.

We boarded the bus. I saw a vacant seat beside the window. I took the seat and looked outside.

Well, I'll be away for 2 more days from you, Konoha.

I thought to myself. Soon, I felt a presence next to me. It was none other than my childhood friend, Temari.

I continued looking outside mesmerizing the view that I won't be seeing for the next 2 days. The engine soon started and went to the road.
