[Raven]
(Some time ago)

"Why'd it have to be cold today..." I mutter to myself as I walked along the sidewalk, blowing into my hands in an attempt to warm them that much more.

I had a single bag that hung at my hip. It held the single thing that I had been saving up for. Despite the snowy weather, I had decided to walk at the same pace I normally do.

My scarf was definitely a size too large, but I really didn't mind. I didn't mind for multiple reasons. It was warm. And it was a gift from Aimi.

Speaking of, I was already at her door. I sighed into my hands again before knocking on the door. I couldn't help but smile to myself, glad to be back at her house.

It wasn't long before the door opened to reveal a green eyed girl around my age. Despite all we've done together, they held an odd innocence in them. Bright eyes that reminded me of the outdoors in spring.

She smiled at me as I hugged her tightly. "Told ya so, Aimi," I whispered as she hugged back. There was a lovely scent that reminded me of flowers. A very nostalgic fragrance at this point if I do say so myself.

"I never doubted you, my love," she says in that sweet voice of hers. "Isn't it cold out there? Come in," she told me, stepping to the side to let me in, closing the door after I do.

"I know you didn't," I tell her in response, putting a hand in her hair. She smiled again at that and let out a sound akin to that of a soft purr. "I just wanted to hear you say it," I added.

"That's not fair, Rae..." she says, looking away. "You can't just have your way everytime," she told me in a pouty voice. Ah, I made her upset already.

I let out a small laugh at that last part, patting her still. "Would you still be mad if I told you I got you something?" I asked her. She glanced at me before looking away again.

"Is it food?"

"N-no."

"Hmph!"

"Come oonnn," I say, taking my hand off her. "It's not always gonna be food I send you, Aimi," I added, shaking my head.

Aimi bit her lip before looking back at me. "Then what is it," she asked me, still pouting.

I smiled at that before telling her, "I'll give it to you, but isn't it cold standing by the door?" I gestured towards her clothing which comprised of shorts and a sleeveless shirt.

Aimi hesitated before giving a small nod, leading me away from the door. I slid my hands in my pockets as she sat on the bed in her room. She lightly patted at a spot by her side as I took out something from my bag.

I held it in my fist, hiding it from her sight. I sat beside her and gave her a small smile before putting a tiny chain around her neck. It felt oddly cold in my warm hands as I clipped the two ends together.

I moved away as Aimi lifted the peice of metal that hung from the necklace around her neck. She gave a look of surprise before smiling at me. "I like it," she muttered before moving close to me.

Aimi looked at me, moving closer as our lips met, pressing softly together. I couldn't help but let my expression soften at that. I slowly and lightly trailed my fingers along her back.

When we pulled away, I found myself looking to her bright eyes. They held so much in them. They held a certain hope in them. As if I was her hope.

I opened my eyes, staring blankly up at the roof. "I loved you Aimi."
