Statement of Elinor cardak,
Regarding the parent of one of her students.

So I'm a elementary teacher, have been for ten years now, I love all my students, a lot of people ask why I chose teaching, and I get it's not for everyone but I love my job, sorry I'm rambling again.
This happened back in 2013.
I was teaching a class of year 4s the oldest year I teach, the year started out very good, all my students where absolutely amazing, there was this one little girl, Jo was her name, she had just came to the school and didn't have many friends, so she spent alot of time with me, she would rather stay inside with me then go out with the other kids for lunch, at the start I insisted she should go out but after a few weeks of her just sitting by a tree outside not talking to anyone I let her stay in with me, it was a few weeks before Christmas break that I met her parents, a lovely couple they said they had moved from a place called Majorca? I looked in up and it's apparently an island off of Spain, I asked why they moved, and they said that they had family here. Jo was back in my class after winter break, but something felt off, she never talked as much as other kids but she still talked, now she rarely talked to only talking when she was asked to answer a question. she stopped staying in with me at breaks, this should have been a good thing but I sometimes had to go outside to make sure no one was getting hurt and I could never find her. She was never playing with the kids.
It's like as soon as break started she just vanished, and she was a lot more skidish, an slightly loud noise and she would completely freeze, she flinched away from any touch as well. At this point I was fearing something had happened to her over winter and she was tramatized from it. I pulled her aside one day as class was ending to ask if anything had happened and if I could help anyway, she just started crying, and pulled out a photo of her family, I looked at the picture and the woman that was with her father, it was not Jo's mother. I remember her, she had short curly hair bleach almost to the roots, she had an attitude that was like fire. The woman in that photo was not her, this womans hair was long a thin, red mixed with brown, she was slender and looked like a porcelain doll.
Just from that photo I new this woman was bad. I bent down to Jo's level and asked what happened to her mother,
"I-I don't know, one day my mommy was here and then she appeared the next day," she said pointing to the woman in the photo. "And I asked my daddy who this person was, h-he said she's my mommy and she always has been" I looked at her so confused, my first thought was a devorce, but with that I had no clue what was going on. I tried comforting her the best I couldn't.
After that day Jo was a bit more talkative with me, not much thought. Her father always picked her up from school, I wanted to ask him what had happened but I felt that I shouldnt but into there lives. Just before spring break there was a parent teacher conference. I was apprehensive to meet this new women as I already had a bad guy feeling about her from the picture Jo had shown me.
The day came and Jo's father and this, other woman came. I tried to introduce myself to her but she just looked at me cocking her head
"ms.cardak, it's me? You've met me before" her voice was like honey covers razor blades, sweet but once all the honey was gone it felt like ever word was a stab at me.
"I-im sorry but I don't believe we have met? Last parent teacher conference it was not you who I met" I said trying to contain the forming sustain I had for this "other mother" Jo's father looked at me confused "Elinor? Are you sure you are remembering that correctly, me and Karyn have been together for 7 years now, I haven't been with anyone else" he said.
Karyn so that was this Other mothers name, quite fitting. I was beginning to grow concerned so at this point I played it like I had miss remembered it.
The next day I was really to a friend of mine about what was going on, he said I should give my statement here, I have never been one to believe in ghosts or the paranormal, but with this experience I might have to adjust my thoughts on the subject.
