Interesting fact, the writers wanted to have ratchet mention Elita-1 in the Synth-En episode and that angers Optimus so much he punches ratchet. However, they scrapped that idea so now I'm going to quietly add it.

Ratchet was pinned to his room's wall by drift and ratchet didn't put a fight thinking things will turn to a more desirable situation but he was wrong and drift snapped at him. "What the Frag are you doing!? You're acting like you are trying to cheat on me! You're much better than this unless you lied to me."

Ratchet's optics widened in shock "no! I never lied to you and I'd never cheat on you I wanted to make you jealous so you'd frag me into our bed" ratchet sighed and looked away embarrassed. Drift's gaze softened and he calmed down a bit "I see. You know my rule, I will not interface with you if you're drunk or on any drug." Ratchet frowned his hope dissipating.

It wasn't long before First Aid commed drift asking for his help with repairing the hole in the wall with Hot Rod, bulkhead, Cyclonus and Bluestreak. Drift sighed heavily and forced himself off the berth they were sharing. Drift kissed the sleeping medic's head and left as quietly as he could.

Ratchet opened his optics, he had faked being asleep and snuck out of his room making a V-line to where he hid a Synth-en sample however his vision was starting to fade back to black. He quickly grabbed the needle "I need to be at the top of my game our survival depends on it" he whispered to himself as he injected more of the drug into his arm.

Roughly ten minutes after he got his fix, Arcee turned to Bulkhead and Optimus telling them about the decepticons hitting a energon vein. As Ratchet approached the main room he heard bulkhead speak "Shouldn't we wait for our secret weapon?" Ratchet poked his head in the room and watched Optimus shake his head no. "This mission is unlikely to require medical expertises."

Ratchet leaned against the wall making a quiet thud noise announcing his presence "but you never know if it'll require extra fire power while the others are fixing that wall. Besides, Bumblebee can handle ground bridge duty." Bumblebee's doorwings raised in anger and shock "Why me!?" He challenged but bumblebee was ignored.

When they arrived, Ratchet rushed down the hillside with the others far behind him. He hid behind a Boulder and peered out into the valley where many decepticon miners were mining away at the rocks unaware of their presence. Bulkhead sighed disappointedly as he tapped the meter's screen "Signal's weak, they may have hit a vein but they won't find much, probably not enough to keep us running for a week." Arcee stood "I take some comfort in knowing that Megatron is as desperate as we are."

Ratchet rolled his optics "do you two always talk this much on these missions?" He asked as he jumped over the Boulder and transformed speeding down the hill to get into battle. One of the miners raised the alarm and they started to shoot at the medic and the others. Ratchet used a rock as a ramp and slammed his front wheel into a miner's head then he transformed "Its alright, I'm a emergency vehicle" he grinned as he got his surgical blades out and the killed the miner by slicing his head in half.

While the mix of red and blue Ion fire chaotically danced around ratchet, the medic noticed a miner running to escape the fight. Ratchet growled to himself and went after the terrified miner. Picking up a nearby boulder that was roughly the size of a lob ball, he chucked it at the fleeing miner and watched carefully as it landed on the escapee's head.

When the miner collapsed, Ratchet ran over to him before the con could get back up on his feet he quietly put his ped on the con's chest, pinning him to the ground. "Why the big rush!?" The medic questioned angrily. The miner was quick to reply "Just trying to get as far away as possible from the Autobot stink!"

Ratchet leered down at the miner and growled "does your boss know you have a potty mouth? Maybe I should pay a visit and tell him." Ratchet growled lowly, offended by the insult. The now terrified mech under him quickly replied "get melted wheel grinder!" Ratchet grinned and transformed his servo into his welder "Melted? Now there's a concept. Now I won't ask you again, where's Megatron?"
