Sorry this took so long to write! I have been busy with some real life stuff like studying for my G1 and some other stuff so here it is!

A few days had past since the new mechs arrived in base Miko still hadn't stop asking questions about each mech's past but the new members of team prime had settled in quickly. Ratchet had pretty much avoided drift until said mech had to come deliver his energon. As everyone started to wake Wheeljack was plotting something in the main room. He was researching abandoned islands or places that humans can not go for whatever personal gain he had. When Drift came in guiding a protesting ratchet he sprung into action. "Hey Drift, doc I have and Idea"

Ratchet felt his energon run cold as he turned to face the direction of Wheeljack's voice "whatever it is I don't want any part of it if it's going to kill me" Wheeljack couldn't help himself so he laughed "no no no, I would never try to kill you. You're the only family left until the possible day I might become a uncle. Wink wink nudge nudge" Ratchet looked away from the insane wrecker with a disgusted look "you're dreaming, you know that nobody is interested in me that way" Wheeljack just shrugged.

"Anyway, you two are not getting along that well considering you have to rely on Drift. So I came up with an idea. I'll send you two away from base for a few days so you two can trust each other again" Wheeljack continued as he winked to Drift. Ratchet was about to argue when suddenly he ground bridge opened and he was pushed through by either Wheeljack or drift but he had no way of telling.

When he arrived at the other side of the bridge he fell on his face since he had no idea that he needed to step down from the bridge. Drift soon came out of the bridge which closed behind him and immediately helped Ratchet up. "Are you ok?" Drift asked concerned. Ratchet silently nodded and dusted himself off "so where are we?" Ratchet asked as he looked in the direction of Drift. Drift pulled out a scanner that he had on him "we are on Wayward island. It's a weird name but humans named it so.." he looked around a bit and noted that they were in a clearing.

After a few awkward minutes, Drift cleared his throat and ratchet looked at him. "So remember the day we were supposed to go to that dance on the arc and-" Ratchet then cut him off "-and you wanted to ask me something" he finished. Drift sighed quietly "yeah that...do you want to make up for that dance while we're here. I do feel a bit cheated on that and Primus said let nothing be unfinished" ratchet snorted "He never said that but sure I'll dance with you just as long as you lead."

Drift smiled and took Ratchet's servos and started to hum a old Cybertronian slow song. While he hummed he slow danced with the medic, enjoying the outdoors and the time they had away from base. As they danced Ratchet rested his head on Drift's chest and did his best to mimic Drift. When he messed up Drift would correct him in a soft voice. After a few minutes of dancing, Drift took a deep breath in "The thing I wanted to ask you all those years ago is this. We have been friends for the longest time now and I wanted to know if you're willing to take things further and become my courtmate"

Ratchet gasped quietly and looked up at him even though he couldn't see him "yes Drift, I would love to be your courtmate. I have been avoiding you because I feared you wouldn't feel the same." Drift smiled softly at him and put his forehead against Ratchet's "I have always felt the same. You are perfect, like Primus himself created you and I hate seeing you upset" Ratchet smiled and they kept on dancing

Drift was about to end the song and dance when suddenly he heard 4 sets of ped steps and the nearby bush shaking. He quickly pulled ratchet behind him and pulled out his sword holding it in front of him in a protective way when five humans and four Cybertronians walked into the clearing.
