TODAY WAS DAIKI'S BIRTHDAY SO THE three Suzuki women decided to plan a surprise party. Izumi and Reiko were in charge of making the cake and food and Yukiko was in charge of decorating the living room and buying everything needed. This meant she had to wake up right after her dad left the house to quickly buy the list of ingredients her mother gave her. Due to being his birthday, the father decided to come home earlier, on his wife's request, though he wanted to work. Just because it was his birthday it didn't mean the villains stopped showing up. The whole house was up after he left, even Haru and he always slept until 10am. Grandma Suzuki came too to look after Haru and make sure he doesn't get in the way and all the invited family and friends said they were coming at 4, an hour before his arrival.
Yukiko quickly changed into a pair of black basketball shorts, a black bandeau top with an oversized black gingham shirt, a fanny pack and her chunky white sneakers and ran out the house. While she went to buy the ingredients for the food, the other two were cleaning the house, making sure every room was spotless. That meant they'd have to clean the kitchen again after making all the food and sweets but that was ok with Izumi as long as she knew the rest of the house was clean. Yukiko walked into the shop she went in with Katsuki two weeks ago and quickly roamed around the isles, picking everything she needed off the food list and throwing them into the cart.
She then went to the counter, smiling brightly at the shopkeeper, "Hello Suzuki-san, you're early!"
"Good morning, Hara-san! You know what they say, the early bird gets the worm. It's dad's birthday today so I needed the best fresh ingredients. How have you been?" She eyed the lollipops and stared intensely at them, reminding herself of that night when Katsuki bought her a cherry one. She waited a few seconds, still contemplating if she should get one or not, they were her favourite sweets after all...
"Starting the day with a game of sudoku, trying to keep this mind young," the shopkeeper joked, to which Yukiko replied with a polite smile. The girl then decided to buy a cherry lollipop and pushed it down the counter. "Oh," miss Hana whispered.
Yukiko looked at her curiously, "What happened?"
"The boy you came with last time bought the same lollipop, I'm guessing he bought it for you," she smiled more to herself and scanned the lollipop, leaving it on the counter for the girl to take and handing her the bag with the ingredients.
"Yeah, he bought it for me but that's because I really like lollipops," she explained to the shopkeeper, and waved at her as she left the shop. She secretly hoped that Katsuki would buy her lollipops more often because she really liked the gesture and it made her heart swoon, especially when he looked at her with those glistening red eyes and his hair messily covering his forehead. Or that smile he had from time to time when no one was looking. Even when he was angry he looked somewhat cute. And let's not talk about the way he always hugs her back even if he tells her to go away, it literally makes her feel like there's a zoo in her belly. Or when he drops her off at home to make sure she's safe. "God, what the heck am I thinking about?"
