Reverie [The Distortionist x reader]

Last announcement before an entirely new chapter, I swear

Ok, I promised I'd release a new re-edited chapter two days ago, so I'm a bit late on that. I'm sorry.

Also, that statement was misleading. I actually re-edited chapter 6, not chapter 7 (the last one that needs to be edited).

This is because the original editing of chapter 6 was absolutely nonsensical and I'm not sure why I counted that as "edited." In any case, I highly recommend you read that chapter. I only kept the opening paragraphs and changed the whole story in that chapter.

Also, I think I'll be re-writing this book after it's complete. It's not going to be a better version, per se. All I'm going to do is change [Y/N]'s gender and edit according to that.

The reason for this is because I started writing this fanfiction when I still thought I was a cis female (cringe), so I wrote [Y/N] as female. Since I now identify as male, I have a slight disconnect with this protagonist, so I'm going to release a separate Reverie with the exact same story, but with a male protagonist (yes, it's going to be gay, I'm not gonna genderbend Crispy even though I know some would want to keep it straight???).

After that, I might also do a non-binary [Y/N]. It's going to be hard since the setting is the 1920's and different expressions of gender still weren't a thing yet, but I made it work for Adres, so I'll make it work for [Y/N].

I'll edit chapter 7 and then release chapter 8 (finally)! I already have drafts for a few future chapters, so it shouldn't take more than a month for a brand-new chapter to be out.

Thank you so much for being patient and sticking around while I slowly make this fanfic. I appreciate you guys so much. I love writing and having people read what I make, it's just so satisfying that I made someone's day slightly better with my stuff.
