-(Back at Seventh Heaven)-

(Tifa' s POV)

I thanked Aerith as she finished cleaning and wiping my wounds. We all successfully made it back home, but now..

I glanced at Barret who was having what seemed to be a glare off with (Y/N). This had been happening for the entire time we returned, the air full of hate and anger.

"So, you ended up not lying...and helped us save Tifa. But no way in hell does that prove your innocence." Barret growled.

"B-Barret please-,"

"Shut up Tifa, I still can't believe that you have been hanging around this Shinra lackey! What if he killed you or worse, brought himself here and killed us all?!" 

"BUT I TRUST HIM BARRET, I KNEW HE WOULDN'T DO SUCH A THING!" I cried, fighting back tears.

"L-look..." we all glanced at (Y/N), who had a worried expression on his face. 

"I'm sorry, in all honesty I think that staying away from me is best. So me and Aerith will leave and you won't ever have to deal with us again. I'll make sure you guys are safe and-,"

"STOP THE LYING!" Barret yelled, as he threw a cup at (Y/N) which he dodged.

"BARRET!"

"IF YOU THINK FOR ONE SECOND THAT I'M GONNA TRUST A SHINRA WORKER WELL YOUR WRONG! NOTHING IN THE DAMN WORLD IS GONNA MAKE ME CHANGE MY DAMN MIND, EVER!" 

"That's fine....you don't have to change at all." Barret' s expression softened as (Y/N) had said that. For some reason, his eyes had a lonely feel to it...as if he were to die now, he knew no one would care.

That he would just die there all alone..

"Working for Shinra has been nothing but hell. But I have no choice, I have no where else to go...no where else that will except what I am capable of. So until I get stronger, and more prepared for whatever Shinra will send after me when I leave them...will I stop working for them and not walk down this path any longer."

There was a silence as everyone stared at (Y/N). I could almost hear Barret's breathing, who was a few feet away from me. (Y/N) was then about to leave until I grabbed his arm bringing him to a halt.

"T-Tifa-,"

"Don't go....please don't go.." I whispered, as I looked up at him. "All that time I wasnt with you, I felt like my heart was going to shatter. I dont know how it happened but...you became someone important in my life." (Y/N)'s face turned a little pink as I said that.

I turned towards Barret who was shocked to see me turn to him. "Barret, please allow (Y/N) and Aerith to come and go here as they please. I know you may not trust them, but you haven't hung out with them so you can't say bad things about them just cause of who they are." Barret squinted his eyes at me, placing his hand on his hip.

"I trust (Y/N) and Aerith with my life, and I don't ever not want to see them again. So please...let them come here without worry. If they do ever betray us...I'll take the blame and kill myself." Barret's head lifted slightly, showing he was shocked to hear me say that.

He then glanced at me, then (Y/N), and lastly Aerith before letting out a huge sigh.

"Fine....they can. But only because I trust you Tifa, if I catch them doing anything wrong I'll kill em on the spot." 

"Alright, thank you Barret!" I said, feeling the happiest I've felt all day. Barret growled at (Y/N) before turning around and walking upstairs to check on Marlene. I then turned to (Y/N) and Aerith who were smiling at me.

"I guess you really need me that much, huh?" (Y/N) asked, grinning at me.

I smiled at him as I replied, "Yeah...I do."
