My Heart..

-(A Few Days Later)-

(3rd Person POV)

"Aerith?" Tifa called, as she walked upstairs. She glanced in her room and saw her on her knees, fixing Kumika's hair.

"Aerith?"

"Hm?" She looked up, there were huge bags under her eyes. She made sure to be awake in case Kumika ever needed something or woke up. But still Tifa couldn't help but by irritated with her.

"You always tell me to rest, yet you barely get any!" She said, as she placed a plate of food near her.

"Well...you're pregnant. Rest is something you need." She mumbled.

Tifa sat down next to Aerith and placed a hand on her shoulder, "I can take care of him for now. You go rest." Aerith was shocked for a second that she forgot to blink.

"B-but (Y/N)-,"

"I know he said to stay away...but I can't watch you be like this." Tifa said. Aerith knew there was no stopping her now, sighing as she rubbed her eyes with her hands.

"Fine...I'll go.." she then stood up and started walking away.

"Go to my room, no one's using it!" Tifa called out, as she turned down the hall. She then looked back at Kumika, wiping his head with a rag that was nearby.

"Please...wake up." She whispered, as she rubbed her stomach. "Aerith cares about you so much...she wants to talk to you again..smile with you again...I knkw everyone might not trust you yet, but there's still someone who wants to see you awake more then anything.." 

She grabbed his hand and squeezed it, "Aerith wants to see you.."

That's when she felt him. She looked down and noticed him squeezing her hand tightly. She immediately looked up at his face, his eyes slowly opening.

Groaning in pain as he looked around, "Huh..?"

"Y-Y-You're awake!"

"....Who?"

"AERITH! AERITH HE WOKE UP-AERITH!"

"A-AERITH?!" Kumika sat up but a pain went down o his stomach as he did so.

In a matter of seconds the sounds of footsteps running down the hall could be heard. Sadly it wasn't just Aerith that appeared...

"WHO WOKE UP?!"

"TIFA ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!"

"I HEARD YELLING!"

"Rufus you dumbass.."

"DAMN IT YOU FATASS MOVE!"

"SHUT UP YA TWIG!"

"Guys.."

"Tifa is everything okay?"

"HE'S AWAKEE!?" Aerith pushed through everyone and went straight towards Kumika, hugging him.

"A-Augh!" Kumika glanced at Aerith who was crying in his arms. He then looked at everyone else, expecting them to be staring daggers at him...

"Oh Kumika's awake!"

"Sup!"

"I'll go make him some food!"

"....Huh?" Aerith wiped her eyes and pinched his cheeks.

"OUCH-HEY AERITH!?"

"Thank god..." she whimpered, "Thank god..you're okay.." 

Kumika sighed and patted her on the head, "Mhm...I'm okay." He smiled. Aerith then stood up and made her way towards the door.

"I'll go help Marlene make you something!" She said, moving past everyone and making her way down the stairs leaving him with everyone else..

He gulped as he said, "Look...I know I-,"

"We know you did bad stuff to us." Tifa said, as she stretched her arms.

"But Aerith has her faith in you...and we have faith in her." Rufus said, as Reno and Barret nodded.

"Just know this," (Y/N) leaned foward looking him straight in the eyes, "Betray or hurt the trust we're gonna give you.." his expression cold now which sent a chill down Kumika's spine, "we'll kill you."

Kumika was silent for awhile before nodding, "Understood."

"Jeez you guys he just woke up! Go get out and give him some space!" Tifa glared at them, pushing them out of the room.

When they all left she then turned towards the confused Kumika with a smile. "Don't worry! We'll take care of you, don't bother with what they said." 

"A-Ah..okay.." but as she was about to leave Kumika stopped her, "Um-wait!"

"Hm? Is something wrong?"

"....I um..just had a question.."

"Sure, what's up?"

"Are...is um...is Aerith okay?" As weird as it came out Kumika did wish to know how she was doing.

"Aerith? She's okay! We'll, she actually hasn't been sleeping-,"

"HUH!?" Kumika yelled, "Why?! Is she sick?!"

"N-No! She was worried about you." Kumika clenched his fist a bit his lip. All because he was too weak.

"But don't take it the wrong way though." Tifa said, "She just cared about you so much that she didn't want to leave your side."

"Cloud! We'll be together! Forever and ever!"

"H-Huh...well...fine.."

"Yay!"

"When you love and care about someone...you just never wanna leave them.." she then shook her head trying to get back to reality.

"S-Sorry about that-got a little off track there."

Kumika smiled, "It's fine...honestly I'm glad she cares about me...like I care about her.." he said. Tifa smiled at him as she started making her way out of the door.

"Just hold on tight and Aerith will bring you something to eat~" she said, as she left Kumika. 

But honestly she was happy..

The face Aerith made when she saw Kumika awake..

It was the happiest smile she ever made..
