Zeke leaves early because he has a date and I'm left to lock up shop.

Juggling a SATs book the size of Aiden's ego and unlabeled keys in one hand, I curse creatively at everyone and everything from the low lighting of the streets to a stupid manager who is incapable of simple organization.

"Man, my eyesight is not what it used to be." I, a 17 year old, grumble unhappily

I don't exactly register the trauma to the head; I don't feel the numbing darkness until it swallows me whole.
