It was the end of another school year. Year Five was over and next year I would be in Year Six. There would be no more chocolate frogs from Miss Flower, but I didn't mind. I'd made a new friend and his name was Billy. Now, I had three true-blue friends, Mitchell, Moosey and Billy. Billy got to know Moosey and was careful not to blow his cover.
That summer we had many exciting and nail-biting games of cricket in the backyard. As usual, Moosey loved to bat and enjoyed the hook shot. Billy turned out to be a great fast bowler and had some memorable showdowns with Moosey. Billy also loved to bowl bouncers. Doug the Dog still loved to catch.
So it was inevitable that eventually something was going to happen when a miniature moose with a bat and a liking for the hook shot mixed with a boy who loved to bowl bouncers and a dog that loved to catch a ball in his mouth before it reached the batsman.
SWOCK!
Poor Doug! He's out cold! Again!
