Chapter 3: Uncomfortable

Same day...

Neil's POV-

Out of all the days Monica could come and stalk me, why did it have to be today? Now?

TWEET IS STILL ON THE FRICKIN' PHONE, GOSH.

Here I thought that Monica would finally stop coming after me, but nope. She decided to actually follow me now.

"Neilish Grover, can you please tell me what the heck you're doing?" Tweet starts scolding me through the AirPods, and I know for a fact that she's pissed just because she used my full name.

She never uses my actual full name.

"Tweet, I swear it's nothing."

"You look a kindergartener who just saw Annabelle for the first time. Absolutely mortified," she raises an eyebrow as Juny starts nodding his head subtly.

Well, I can't lie to her forever. She has to know at some point, right?

"Fine, I'll tell you. But do you promise to not get mad?" I ask her as I stick my pinky out.

"You're such a child, but I promise," she chuckles as she pretends to shake pinkies with me.

"I'm hiding from someone. Specifically, another girl," I clarify and she starts laughing maniacally. Like an actual evil scientist.

"Wait, hold on. Let me just clear my ears for a sec. I thought I heard you say you're hiding from another girl," she pretends to clear her ears as she notices the surprised look on my face. Hold on, she thinks I'm joking?

"Stop laughing! I'm being serious right now," I whine as she starts laughing again.

"Fine, fine. I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean," she exhales as I start talking about my problem right now.

But you know, since y'all are already here, I'll just tell you guys directly while I give Tweet the watered-down version.

Monica is a sophomore in my college who is technically in my friend group.

Not really. She's best friends with one of the people in my group (Paige), but she's not a direct part of it.

Anyway, what's so important about this?

Well, she likes me, and she doesn't even try to make it subtle.

You know when someone finds out you have a crush, you try to deny it as much as possible and even make yourself look extremely stupid in the process? Like, you legit will do ANYTHING to make sure your crush never finds out.

Well, she has never done that. In fact, she makes it incredibly obvious that she likes me.

Every time I see her, she always bites her lip and plays with her hair. If we were to go a little more risqué, she verbally hits on me and asks me out too.

One time, the girl even legit spanked me! Like she actually slapped my ass one time during Drew's birthday party, and it made me so uncomfortable.

I've told her around 1000 times that I have a girlfriend who I like a lot, but she doesn't seem to get the message. In fact, her stints get even worse each time I see her.

Don't get me wrong, she's actually pretty nice outside of her weird tendencies. But when she's hitting on me, it's like she doesn't stop. She's relentless, and it's pretty admirable since I've never been that committed to anything before.

I never told Tweet because I just didn't want to worry her, you know? She's already told me about how she's intimidated by all the "gorgeous college girls" that I'm with all the time. And with the stress she has from college applications, the last thing I want is for her to blow a gasket.
