Chapter 5: Prom Night

I looked myself in mirror, fixing my suit and tie as I thought about how boring the dance was going to be without Dani there with me

"You ready to go?" Lizzie asked me and I turned to her shaking my head

"I wish Dani could be there..." I said sadly and she nodded her head

"I know you do Amie, I understand but hey you got me and Don" She said to me and Don her boyfriend nodded his head

"Yeah Amie don't worry we'll be there with you to make this night a blast" he said and pat my back

"I guess you guys are right" I say and Lizzie gives me a sympathic smile

"Now let's go or we will be late" She says and I scrunched my nose in confusion

"Late for what Liz prom does even start for another 25 minutes " I say and she skaes her head

"I have to be there early my sister needs help setting up" She says and I just nodded my head

"Okay let's go" I said and we headed out to the limo Don's dad rented for us

We parked somewhere that definitely wasn't the dance hall our school rented

"Where the heck are we?" I asked Lizzie and she smiled sheepishly at me

"Well open the door and the person out there can explain" she says to me and I look at her like she's crazy

"Out of all days you could choose to have someone kill me its today" I say in horror and she looked at like I was the crazy one

"Oh my gosh babe your so damn stubborn open the door no ones trying to kill you" I heard Dani's voice outside the limo door

"Dani?" I inquired and the door opened to reveal my gorgeous girlfriend wearing a sparkling blue dress

"Babe closes your mouth your gonna catch flies" she joked and I just stared at her in aww

"Wow" I finally managed to get out of my mouth

"Okay okay Amie now get out and go with your girl so I can go dance with mine" Don said pushing me out of the limo into Dani's arms

"Bye see you tomorrow" Lizzie says with a wink before the limo drove off

"So what is all this?" I asked Dani who smiled at me widely

"Well first let me just say you look dashing tonight and second take my hand and I shall show you" She says and making me blush before taking her hand in mine allowing her to lead me where she wants

As we walked deeper into the park we had just walked around a week ago I saw lights shining in the big field. There was candles lighting up the whole field and music playing in the background

"I know you wanted to have a prom with me so...I had thus set up and Lizzie bring you here" She explained and I could help but let a happy tear slip out

"This the best thing anyone has ever done for me" I said and kissed her passionately

After a few seconds we pulled back and she held me ina dancing position

"Shall we dance ma'lady?" she asked me and I smiled back at her

"We shall" I said and we both began dancing to my favorite song All about us by He Is We [Feat. Owl City].

After a couple of dances we decided to go to Dani's and eat some food

"I had a great night I don't how I can thank you" I told Dani as we cuddled in her bed

"Your happiness is enough thanks" She says sweetly to me and I couldn't help but face her with love shinning in my eyes

"I love you forever and always Danielle Holland" I finally let it out and her eyes widened in shock

"Really?" She asked and I nodded my head "I love you forever and always too Amie Loring"

I let my rose pink lips find her soft velvety red ones and kissed her with as much passion as I could
