I was left alone in the quiet for what seemed eternity. My overwhelming stress and excitement made every second feel like hours. I was, honestly, worried of what Aang would think of me. I sat on the bed, staring at my hands, waiting, for what I didn't know, I had no idea of what to expect. I heard distant footsteps, but thought nothing of it at the time. I went back to my worrying, but that's when the door opened.

There he was, the great Avatar Aang. Before I tell you what happens next, I want to share what was going on in my head. My initial reaction was, he looks nothing like I thought he would. But he also looked nothing like his statues, which didn't surprise me, Gran-Gran said he didn't. He was also tall, taller than my dad, which is saying something. But he had a certain, warm softness to him, something my dad does not have. He dressed much more simpler then my father as well. He had stormy grey eyes, just like Meelo's but lighter. But the one thing I couldn't miss was his smile, which was the most welcoming thing in the world.

He came and sat down right next to me. "Hey, your finally awake!" He said happily. He didn't even know me, yet he talked to me like we were friends. That instantly melted my fears away. I just stared at him, not knowing what to say. "Kya tells me that your name is Jinora, is that right?" He asked. I nod. "That's an air-nation name." I nod again. He studied me thoroughly, my face my clothes, and my arrows. " Your not an air-acolyte are you." He said, questionably. I shook my head no. "H-how did I g-get here?" I asked nervously. "Well, you kinda...fell from the sky. From where, I have no idea, but you did hit the ground pretty hard." He said. I then remembered that Kya told me that I fell. That explained why I was so sore and dizzy when I woke up. "Are you, Aang?" I already knew the answer, but I was just making sure. He smiled lightly, and nodded.

"Do you mind me asking, how, how did you get here?" He asked, in a very calm manner. I thought about it for a second, then said, " There's one small problem, I have no idea. I have no idea how I got here or how it's even possible for something like this to happen." I said, in a stressed, yet sheepish tone. "Possible for what to happen?" He asked. I hesitated on telling him that I was from the future so I improvised. "Well, I'm n-not exactly from this time period." I said slowly. His eyes widened, then looked like he was lost in thought. "Wow, that's, is that even..wow." He stuttered. "Can I ask you something?" Aang asked, looking at his feet. I nodded. "Are you an air bender?" I didn't know if I could tell him, but there was no point in lying.

I took in a deep breath, "Yes, yes I am." I said finally. Aang looked up and smiled, "I had a feeling you were. So if your not from this timeline, are you from the future, or the past?" He asked me. "Do you think I'll mess up something if I tell you?" I asked nervously. "Oh, I didn't even think of that, your right. Could, by any chance,  your arrival here be spiritual?" He asked curiously. "It has to be, I don't know what else it could be." I answered. He nodded and thought for a second. "Maybe I could talk to my past lives, maybe they know what's going on." He thought out loud. I nodded, it sounded like a great idea, they usually are aware of things out of the ordinary. "I will be back later, I promise, I can figure this out, and get you home." He said kindly, getting up and starting to walk out. He stopped at the door, and side-glaced me. "It was nice to meet you, Jinora." He smiled. "Likewise." I said with a small smile, and he left the room. He had no idea how good that felt.
