I took slow, relaxed deep breaths, focusing my mind from wandering off from the main objective. 'Back to the present, I need to get back to the present.' I thought over and over in my head. We wandered through the mysterious woods, looking for any clue or sign that would lead us in the right direction. Aang seemed unphased by our stressful situation, actually he enjoyed it. He looked around with a slight smile and his grey eyes darting all over the place in wonder. I had to look away from him, it was distracting me from my thoughts. Soon enough though, I accomplished my goal, and stopped. I was 100% synced in to finding my way back. I stood there, eyes scrunched shut in concentration. I had no idea what Aang was doing because, you know, my eyes were closed... Anyways I waited in the still darkness of my mind, awaiting the answer. I soon received a feeling, for what at the time felt like relief, like I had achieved my goal.

I opened my eyes slowly, seeing if my concentration had paid off. The scene around me had completely changed. It went from a brightly colored forest, to a dark and grim opening of a cave. I noticed Aang was still with me. I gave him a look, asking how we got there. He just gave a shrug and nervously looked into the black depths of the cave. I shuddered at the unpleasant scene. That's when I heard a faint noise coming from inside the cave. Aang and I looked at each other, our faces white, and our eyes wide, and we turned in the direction of the cave's mouth.

The same noise was repeated again. Then again and again, each time increasing in speed. Our bodies tensed up and we scooted closer to each other and got in a fighting stance. Then she emerged. It was the most horrifying thing I had ever seen. She was a nine foot tall, twelve feet long, spider spirit. But instead of having eight legs, she had countless, and her fangs were very much visible. Her many eyes stared us down. "You." She said in an unearthly, but menacing voice. One of her many legs pointed to me, I flinched at her voice. "You were the human who trespassed onto MY web." She said angrily. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves, or to try not to pass out, whatever comes first. "Great spirit, I had no intention of invading your territory, I fell onto it by accident. Please forgive me." I said, bowing my head. The spirit looked me over. "Do you know who I am, child?" She asked me. I thought about it for a second, having no clue to what the answer was, but then I remembered the reason we came in the first place. "The spirit of time?" I asked. "Indeed. You have fallen into a time that is not your own. There is only one way back, and that is this." She said, stretching one of her arms to hand me something. It was a small vile of red liquid. I eyed it suspiciously. "This will allow you return home, and if you refuse it, you will be stuck here. If that happens, time itself will be thrown off balance, resulting in the corruption of time." She explained. I gulped, and took the vile from her...leg... and nodded in thanks.

Once I took the vile from her, she slinked away into the darkness. The second she did so, Aang gasped for air. I eyed him with confusion. He smirked, "I forgot to breathe." he explained. We both laughed. We looked at the vile with great interest. "Do you think this is safe to drink?" I asked him nervously. He continued to stare at the vile and said, "Well I doubt a spirit would try to kill you, plus she seemed pretty eager to get you back home. I mean you heard all the crazy stuff about time corruption and what not." He said. I nodded, "I guess your right." The scenery changed back to it's original setting. "Well, that was crazy." I said. "Crazy?! That was terrifying!" Aang exclaimed, throwing his arms up. "I will never and I mean NEVER do ANYTHING like that again. I mean even Koh looked better than her, and that's saying something!" He went on ranting about fear. But that last part I didn't understand, but I wasn't really worried about it. We both soon recovered from that unsettling event, and decided to head back to the Physical World.
