I do not own Trollhunters (and pieces of ROTT and WIzards) or any of Del Toro's characters

Jim's phone rang about three weeks later, a couple of days after the incident of the Qwagawumps. "Hey, Blink. Find anything on the Triumbric Stones or Jess's dream?" "I believe so, Master Jim. When will Mistress Jessica be returning to your household?" "She'll be here in a couple of hours, why?" "Ask and see if she's received any more dreams. I have a theory, and if it's right, your sister will need to stay safe. Especially with Angor Rot and the Janus Order on the roam." "We can send over some gnomes that are bugged. Keep an eye on her. But I'm not exposing her to the troll world." "Master Jim, I suggest you reconsider. Mistress Jessica may be a powerful part of the team." "For now. If your suspicions are correct, then we'll tell her. If not, then she doesn't know." His phone suddenly buzzed, "And that would be her. I'm heading to the other side, see you guys later." He jogged up the stairs and joined his mom and twin at their favorite cafe. He embraced his sister, she hugged him back. Once they separated, he asked her the question. "Any more weird dreams?" "Yeah. I've had one more. I'll show you." She pulled out a mini sketchbook, handing it to him. He flipped to the first page, it was a picture of two people with four arms and holding protractor shapes. "I have a friend who is a dream expert. Can I send them a couple of pics?" He asked casually. "Sure. Please." He snapped some pictures and sent them to Blinky. Minutes later, the scholar texted him that his hypothesis was correct. Jim let out a string of Trollish swear words mentally. "Hey, Mom, can Jess and I go for a walk?" "Sure." "Come on, I want to show you something." "Nice. I need something to clear my head." They walked down the street together, arms around each other. "So, how have you been?" "Good. You?" "Less sleep than normal, but I either get those weird dreams or I don't dream at all." "It's okay. You're fine." He assured her, reaching into his bag as they took a break against the canal wall. He withdrew the horngazel, discreetly drawing on the wall. At the last minute, Jess noticed the glowing blue lines carved in the wall under the bridge. "Huh?" She touched the center of the door before it sucked her in. Jim dove through after her as it shut. "Woah." Jess stared around the dim cavern before her twin grabbed her hand and dragged her down the crystal staircase. "Where are we?" "Trollmarket." They turned the corner, he heard his sister gasp. "Yeah, told you. We need to go find Blinky." "What are they?" "Trolls." "I've seen these before. In my dream!" She stared in wonder at the stone creatures. "Hi." AARRRGGHH!!! appeared. "I've seen you!" Her jaw dropped open. "Hey, AARRRGGHHH!!!, meet Jess, my sister." "Blinky is waiting." "Okay. Come on, sis." He pulled her into the library, Jess's eyes widened further. "Hello, Mistress Jessica." "I saw you in my dream too!" She squeaked. "Yes. Actually, you saw us about two or so years in the future, by what Master Jim told me. Clairvoyance is apparently a gift of yours." "Like...seeing the future?" "Exactly. According to my extensive research, someone in your family tree or several people, hard to tell, had to have possessed the gift. One of your family members had to have had the power to see the future or snips of it. And so I have a gift for you." Blinky picked up a leather satchel from his desk, handing it to her, "Ink that never dries or runs out, the pen never clogs, and the book never runs out of pages. Plus some other materials you might need or want." "Wow, thanks." She slipped it over her head, letting the worn leather strap rest on her shoulder. "I want to show you around. It's really cool around here." "Deal." She smiled, they walked through the streets of Trollmarket, exploring everything. "It's awesome down here!" Jess exclaimed. "I'm surprised you weren't freaking out when I basically kidnapped you and dragged you underground." "I dreamt about those stone creatures, I knew something was up with you. So frankly it didn't surprise me." Jim grinned as they entered the Hero's Forge. "Woah, what is this place?" "This is where I train. AKA get rocks thrown at me while avoiding giant axes. You know, standard stuff." She laughed. "I don't know how we'll protect you, though. Because if word gets out to our enemies that my sister can read the future, and they get ahold of you, then bad things could happen." "I could move here for a while." "You don't have to leave your friends and family. And if we aren't constantly seen together, that might work to our advantage. I know Blinky said that there was a weapon that all of our future reading relatives used." She opened the sachel, drawing out a long curved knife with a black sheath and a set of bands. "Oh, those things are everywhere. That sheath looks old." She took off her jacket, letting him run the straps around her bicep. It was the same knife from her dream, she admired it then pulled back on her jacket. "Don't let your friends or family see it, they can't know about our secret. Not even Mom. She has no clue I come down here." "Okay." She nodded, looking through the bag. A couple of small pots of colored and black ink, a pen that looked like it was used for calligraphy, a leather-bound book with pages yellowed from age, a sheet on how to write calligraphy, a piece of orange and yellow chalk, and a similar, smaller book she could use to put her drawings of the scenes in. "Blink really thought of everything. I told him how you're an artist." Jim said, looking down into the contents of her bag, "I might see if I can find a troll who can craft some under armor for you, since your unguarded. By the way, the chalk is a Horngazel, its how you get into Trollmarket. We better head up, your adopted parents will be coming back to pick you up soon." "Yeah." They returned to the surface and cafe, where their mom was talking to her adoptive parents. "What do you got there, sweetie?" "A new bag for my sketchbooks. Jim's friend made it for me." "It's really nice." "Thanks." "Ready to go, sweetheart?" "Yes. See you in a couple of weeks." She hugged her mother and brother, before climbing into the car. She touched her sleeve, where she could just barely feel the outline of her knife. Jess was ready to face whatever happened next.
