When he walked into class, after a week of not having seen her in class, he expected to not find her there again. He was right. She wasn't there. Chewing on his lip, he sat on his seat and pulled his cell out. Finding her contact on her phone, he tapped for message bar.
Mason:
Where are you?
This message wasn't the first he'd sent. This one was the tenth. She never responded. Didn't even leave it on seen. Just never responded. He ran into Ben, Blaze and Bailey but they all refused to have seen her since the club night. He chuckled at the though of them. The three B's of his life. They hated when he called them that. Ben even said he'd prefer being called Richard now. His last name. As if he would do that. He loved torturing his friends and this was the best leverage.
His relationship with Sapphire had grown. He was with her almost every night since the first and she gave him the night and day and everything he asked for. The pleasure, the disdain and the need to enjoy his life with the excitement he'd been missing. Sapphire wasn't all bad and it was fun to be with her. They weren't official as he'd asked for but they were quite close now. Three days out of the week, he'd spent having lunch and dinner with her, so the relationship wasn't just restricted to sex, although that's what their meet would end, be it day or night.
As the class filled, he checked his watch and a couple minutes were left for the class to progress. The door to the classroom opened and when he expected Mrs. Berry to enter, a familiar yet unfamiliar character walked in. Raina. She wasnt the Raina he knew from a week ago. Her hair were in a pixie cut now which came to just below her jaw in the front the strands on the left side of her head were slightly short, like a long haired boy cut. The right of her head was a series of steps, running from the shorter strands cupping her head, to the longer ones, following her jawline. She was wearing a loose, green crop sweatshirt and black jeans under with combats boots under. Her bag pack was slung on her shoulder and when she passed him, he didn't smell grape.
He smelled smoke. Cigarette smoke, mixed with a poor excuse of perfume to cover the stench. It wasnt too strong however because it didn't spread around the classroom but she did smell just a little.
She plopped in her seat and lazily, leaned back, setting her book on the table. Her hair weren't just cut to short now, they also had light brown streaks running in them. Looking fashionable and undeniably hot, he still couldn't absorb the sudden change. Her bottom lip came between her teeth, as she set her pencil in her fingers and twirled it around in her right hand fingers. She ran the hand through the strands that fell on her face and inhaled a deep sigh, moving enough to get her chest to lift and drop. Her head then moved and she rested it on the elongation of her right arm. He was still staring, even when the heels clicked in the room of make Mrs. Berry's presence known.
"Good afternoon." She called out and they all greeted. Raina's head lifted but didn't look up, instead remained bowed and her left hand threaded through her hair and rested against her head to support it on the stability of her elbow.
