Dynasties would pass but his mother would never take it easy. She would prioritize his career over his own life. Sure, it was a blessing to have parents who actually cared about where you would lead your life you but how could he even put up with her barging in on him since forever. He just couldn't handle the badgering. His overall GPA was constantly over the top and he'd only served detention twice. His attendance was close to perfection and he'd never been in trouble. Though the goodie two shoes, he was the popular boy. Every girl liked him and being the smart one, even the nerds gave him attention. Now that was some out of the book high school experience, the kind his mother liked too. Her popular boy becoming a popular doctor someday but like every turn in a book, Raina had walked into his life. She was on his mind in the particular night and he stared at the stack of brownies in front of him.

Picking up a square, he analyzed it and thought about her. Now, staring at a brownie reminded him of her somehow. Sometimes, she would even whisper in his ear sending chills through him.

'They're the epic kind of funny.' Thats what she'd say.

A revving sound caught his ear as he snuck a brownie from the kitchen in the middle of the night. He peered out of the window by the main doors and saw a figure sitting on a bike by the Monroe's house.

This girl.

He thought to himself. Walking to the coat cupboard, he put on his puffy, but tight jacket and grey beanie above. The jacket used to look like a ballon around him and now it fit so tight that the puff rolls on it had straightened. Putting on his boots, he came out in his plaid pyjamas.

She looked different, sitting on the stellar black BMW bike. She stopped revving it and shut it down.

"Sweet, isn't she?" She asked, sipping at her vape.

"Yeah, why is it out at this hour?"

"I thought I'd take it out for a spin, now I don't feel like it." She sniffed.

"I got a question for you." He cocked a brow.

"Don't you ever get tired of asking questions?" She shook her head. She reeked.

"You're drunk."

"That's not a question."

"Why are you like this?"

"I told you. I wanted to ride a bike."

"No. Why are you so stubborn and irritated all the time?"

"Why, did I hurt your prince heart?" She rolled her eyes and cocked her head in taunt.

"No but you are hurting yourself."

"You don't know anything about me and I'm not hurt because of me. So why don't you mind your own business." She stumbled, getting off the bike and he held her straight. Though she reeked, her hair still smelled fresh. He snatched her vape, "Hey!" She hissed. He pulled it away with a clenched jaw.
