The Castle In Ruins

"Seong-Hun!" Jungkook cried, running over to her. His hands he had freed from the handcuffs somehow. The walls of the palace were crumbling.

"G-get the crown!" she yelled. 

"No, you're more important!" he yelled, undoing the handcuffs around her hands. A crumbling piece of rock hit her on the head, and, bleeding, she fainted. Jungkook lifted her up, but crumpled under the weight. He was too tired to go anywhere with her body. The rumbling of the crumbling walls around him became overpowering. He knelt down and sat Seong-Hun's body up under him, trying not to crush her as he covered her from the falling debris. Her chest heaved up and down and his sweat and tears made her mascara run. When the palace had all fallen, Jungkook looked around in horror. "The p-palace!" He stood up, dusty and bloody from the action. Seong-Hun sat up abruptly.

"Where's Jung-Hoon?" she asked, trying to stand up.

"Sit down, Seong-Hun. I- he's gone." He knelt on his bruised knees right beside her. She grabbed his arm and lay back down. Silent tears ran down by her ears and her eyes crinkled. 

"I-it's a-all m-my f-fault!" she hiccupped. 

"No, it's not. Lie back down. It was Jung-Hoon's own choice that he made, not yours."

"I k-know b-but h-he w-was m-my l-little b-brother a-and I-I w-was s-supposed t-to p-protect him!" Jungkook just sighed as Seong-Hun sat up and scooted into his arms, still crying.

"It's alright, Seong-Hun." He patted her back gently. Her breathing gradually became calmer, with a few occasional hiccups. She peeled herself away from him and smiled. 

"I love you." she said and kissed him. Jewang came galloping over to them, neighing in approval. 

"I love you too, Seong-Hun." He picked her up and walked outside.
