It was a false alarm after all. The queen sat on her bed, fingering her crown.
"Why would Ye-Jun steal the crown?" She contemplated the previous events. Ye-Jun sneaking away with the crown just didn't settle right with her.
Suddenly, she stood up, setting the crown in its safe hiding place. She walked down the hall to the dungeon doors, her nightgown ends trailing behind her. She finally reached the dungeon doors, opening them slowly and quietly in case Jungkook was asleep. She didn't want to wake him, because she had a plan. She snuck through the doors to Jungkook's cell.
All of a sudden, the ceiling started to crumble. Jungkook sat up with a start.
"Your Majesty, get in here!" he called, beckoning to the queen. She ran to the bars of the cell, frantically reaching for the key to open it. Her hand closed around the cold metal as she tore it out of her pocket, shoving it into the lock of the cell door. "Quickly!" he yelled, shutting and locking the door behind her.
"What's going on?" she yelled, curling close to Jungkook as he shielded her from the falling rocks.
"Someone is attacking. My instincts told me. I'm glad you came down here." She had one thought. The crown.
"The crown, Jungkook, the crown!" She sat up, peeling herself away from Jungkook.
"It's too dangerous for you to go now! It's lost, Seong-Hun!" He grabbed her nightgown ends. She was shocked. No one had ever called her by her real name before. She liked the way it sounded coming from Jungkook.
"I have to go, Jungkook!" she yelled, pulling her nightgown away from Jungkook. Tears welled up in her eyes as she ran down the hallways, dodging rocks and debris. She stopped in the middle of the throne room. The palace walls had mostly fallen down. She looked in every direction, her hair blocking her view. Suddenly, her eyes came to rest on a tall figure standing in the palace entrance. King Si-Woo.
"Hello, my queen." King Si-Woo had wanted the queen as his wife ever since her father had perished in the war.
"I will never be your queen!" The queen took off like a rocket down the hall. "You should know that by now!"
"Never is a long time, my darling." The king smashed his scepter into the ground, spreading cracks through the floor. Jungkook came running up the stairs.
"Seong-Hun? Seong-Hun!" he called, frantically looking for the queen.
"She's gone, peasant." King Si-Woo shoved Jungkook to the ground. He fell to the floor with a deafening oof.
"I'm not a peasant. You're blind, aren't you?" Jungkook got up, taunting the king. Jungkook pushed the king to the ground, stepping on his knee as he ran after Seong-Hun.
