It was the next morning, and Sophie woke up to a blond in her face.
"Can I help you?" She mumbled tiredly.
"Yes. You can wake up! I have an idea for today."
Sophie smiled as she got out of her bed. Funny, yesterday it was her waking Keefe up, today it was Keefe waking her up.
"Give me a moment to change."
"Foster, we're friends! I don't see why-"
"Don't you dare finish that sentence," Sophie glared at him.
Keefe raised his hands up in surrender. "I was just joking!" He said, laughing as he walked out of her room he had designated to her.
Sophie rolled her eyes. "Boys," she muttered as she changed into slightly ripped jeans and a black and gold sweater. She thought it was Hamilton, although she wasn't sure why Keefe had it.
"Foster, you done?" Keefe yelled a moment after she had finished brushing her hair.
"Give me a second!"
Sophie walked out of her room later to see...
"I'm sorry," Sophie said in between laughs, "I-I can't."
Keefe has positioned himself in a model pose, blowing a kiss at her. It would've been cute, except for the fact that he was also wearing a snorkel, goggles, ridiculously long fins, and rainbow swim trunks. It looked like he refused to wear a cap though, he wanted to keep his hair as it was.
"What's wrong? I thought you liked this?" Keefe gestured to his body at the last word.
"No, I don't like that," she responded, still shaking slightly from her laugh attack. She had officially made it a thing now.
"What?" Keefe gasped in mock offense. "But I thought I could pull off anything!"
"Who told you that?" Sophie smirked as she strutted away, flipping her hair.
"Hey! Don't walk away from me!" Keefe said, speed-walking to catch up with her. "And no one does my smirk!"
"But...I just did."
"Mm...no. It only works for me. I have the magic smirk!"
"Maybe I've learned from the master."
Keefe shrugged. "At least I'm still a master."
Sophie sighed. Anyway, what did you want to do that got you so dressed up?"
"Oh, I thought we could have a beach day! Hang out under one of those umbrellas."
"Sounds great! Okay!"
So they headed to a store by the beach and bought some bathing suits.
Sophie's:
Keefe's is plain white swim trunks.
"Alright, Foster, are you ready?" Keefe called from outside the changing room.
"Be patient! I'm coming!" Sophie said back.
Soon she walked out. "Keefe, you're staring." She smirked.
He looked away. Sophie grabbed his hand later and swung it back and forth as they walked to the best beach in Paris. (I don't know if there's a beach in Paris but just roll with it okay?) When they got there Sophie layed down on a towel under a rainbow umbrella and spread her legs out.
"You look comfy," Keefe said after a while.
"Mmmh," Sophie mumbled. She wanted to keep feeling the sun in her face and the sand between her toes.
"Wanna help me build this sand castle?"
Sophie looked up. She loved making sandcastles! But...she would have to leave the warmth of the towel. Keefe was building in the shade. Apparently he sensed her coldness because he carefully wrapped his arms around her in a bear hug.
"Warm now?" He asked.
Sophie smiled. He did too, until he saw some other boys walking over.
"Hey," said one in French, "care to join us? We can see you're really good at making sandcastles."
Sophie blushed. "Actually, I was-"
"She's busy right now," Keefe finished, somehow understanding. Maybe he had picked up a bit of French.
Sophie turned her head for a moment and missed the boys giving him an icy glare. They may not have understood what he said, but they knew fair well she was with him. He glared back. Sophie turned around, and they smiled.
"Maybe another time then?" Another one said.
"Sure," Sophie responded, knowing that she wouldn't see them again.
"They were annoying," Keefe said after they all left.
"I-you know, let's just build that sandcastle."
Wow it's been so long since I published! Terribly sorry everyone. But thanks for reading!
