I stared at my ceiling not getting any sleep at all.

I couldn't stop thinking about what tomorrow would bring. What if Alex and Jake don't like me? What if what Ryder said is a joke and I get laughed at for believing a lie like that? But, what if what he said is the truth? With that thought in mind I fell asleep in a mix of thoughts.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock beeping. Yay, Monday morning.

Whoa, don't hurt yourself with all that enthusiasm, my inner voice snickered.i just rolled my eyes with a sigh.

After getting a quick shower I changed into a pair of ripped skinny jeans, a smiley face t-shirt and my white Chucks. I apply a quick thing of eyeliner and mascara before pulling my hair up and walking downstairs with my bag.

When I make my way to the bottom, I sigh sadly. No one is ever usually at home unless my parents need to be. Being an only child sucks!

My parents both work in the UK. I don't even know what they do other than work at a business that keeps them in the UK... Away from me. Their only daughter. If you can't tell already I am a bit bitter at the fact I am left alone for months at a time.

Grabbing a granola bar, I make my way outside and start the walk to Hell.

I got to school a lot faster then usual which only means I made it on time. Walking through the halls I make my way to my locker getting the books I need. As I slam the locker, I suddenly have someone wrap a hand around my waist.

Jumping, I see it's only Grim. Yes, I have decided I'm going to call him Grim.

"Hey, baby girl," Grim smirks. By now the whole hall way is looking at us. The girls were glaring and the boys were smirking at Grim. Blushing, I pull out of his grip.

You see, Ryder isn't a player at all. Actually, I have never seen him with a female before. It makes me feel giddy that I'm the only girl he has showed any affection for at school.

Running down the halls I yell back at Ryder," I'll see you at lunch."
---------------
Ah, lunch. Everyone's favorite time of the day. I don't think I have ever been this nervous for my favorite time of the day, then I am now.

Pushing open the cafeteria door, I instantly hear the chatter die down. Everything was quiet. I ignored it though as I walked to the lunch line, head held high; not even blushing.

The only sound heard was the squeaking of my shoes on the tile. Everyone just stared. Getting fed up I slammed my tray on the check out counter making everyone jump except for the the three people I'm suppose to sit with today. No, they looked amused and slightly impressed.

Turning around to look at everyone I raised a brow,"Sooo....," I drawled out in the quiet cafeteria."Are you all going to continue eating or are you going to continue staring at me like I'm a fucking baby alien?!" I snapped. Everyone looked shocked as I took a deep breath, but they quickly looked away.

Paying for my lunch, I made my way to Ryder and sat down.

"Sup, Grim. His minions," I said my acknowledgement to the three boys. Alex and Jake's lip twitched like they were holding back a smile.

"You are the one," the two boys said simultaneously with creepy grins on their faces as I scuttled closer to Ryder.

"Okay... I'm just going to ignore that," I mumbled looking at them weirdly. Smiling, I stuck out my hand," Hi, I'm Mia Simmons."

"Oh, we know," Jake said pulling Alex to him and setting him on his lap. I just raised my brow at them.

Jake smiled," We're ma-" He got cut off from wherever he was about to say by getting kicked by Ryder.

"Grim!" I gasped. "Do not kick Jake!"

He just looked down, scolded. Good.

Though I felt a little bad when he looked at me through his lashes, but looked back down.

Picking up a piece of strawberry with a fork, Alex and Jake looked at me confused as I lifted Ryder's head and he looked at me. He looked at me with an emotion I could not decipher, as I pushed open his mouth and fed him the strawberry. His eyes got wide, but like the pro I am, I went back to eating like nothing happened.

Alex and Jake look awe struck as they stared at our little encounter. I feel someone pull my chair so I'm literally squished into Ryder's side.

He puts his head in the croak of my neck and inhales. Letting the breath out I feel him kiss my neck once sending shivers up my back.

"I think Alex and Jake are in shock," I hear him whisper against my neck.

I look over to see Jake with his jaw dropped and Alex frozen.

Good. I'm not the only one shocked.
