They took their things and walked out of the building. They went across the street to a small restaurant. Bakugo took off his jacket and loosened his tie. Kirishima sat across from him and did the same.

"How is everyone treating you so far?" Kirishima asked.

"Good. Everyone is pretty nice. Except for this one guy. I thought he was really cool at first. Really nice. Turns out he's not so nice. Pretty rude, actually. Which is a bummer, because I really liked him."

"Really? Who is it? I can talk to them if you want."

Bakugo looked at him with an annoyed face.

"O-oh...you meant me."

Bakugo nodded his head, yes.

Kirishima leaned forward towards him, "I'm sorry. I was busy, I swear. But I was also trying to give you space. No one really invites the boss anywhere, you know? I didn't want them to treat you differently because they saw us hanging out. I never get invited to lunch with them, or anything. I don't really care, it just kinda sucks when they start inviting people to parties and I'm in the room, but they act like I'm not there. So, of course, I'm gonna be as they say 'rude' towards them. But I'm not trying to be rude. It's just hard to pretend like they don't hate me. How am I supposed to act around people when they act like that around me?"

"Well, first of all. Who cares what they think about you? You're the boss. You stand up to them. You don't have to prove yourself to them either, but don't let them treat you like that. And second, thank you for looking out for me, but I don't really care what they have to say. Besides, they're missing out. You're not that bad. But I get to have you all to myself. So I'm okay with it."

Kirishima smiled, "did you just say I'm not that bad? Was that supposed to be a compliment?"

Bakugo rolled his eyes at him, "I don't know. Okay?! I'm still mad at you. I literally had to yell at you just to get your attention."

"Well, I mean...you had my attention before."

"Don't pretend to be extra nice. It's not gonna make me less mad."

"I'm not?!"

Bakugo looked away from him, "you owe me lunch sometime this week."

"But, everyone will see us and I don't want them to treat you differently because of-"

"Did I ask?!"

"Um...no?"

"Then?! What's gonna happen sometime this week?"

Kirishima hesitated his answer, "We're gonna have lunch?"

"Tomorrow. And make sure that you don't schedule anything else."

"Okay."

They had dinner as they kept talking. Kirishima noticed that Bakugo started unwinding towards the end of the night. He watched bakugo talk, smiling at him whenever he made an angry face just to tease him.
