"T-tell me.. what happened to him!?" Sonia yelled in Souda's face and grabbed the front of his jumpsuit, he put his hands up in defence and started babbling, "o-okay, okay.. I'll tell you.." everyone glared at him but Sonia glared back, "what didn't you tell me?" "W-well, back when we were the remnants of despair, Junko set very h-harsh punishments.. especially for Nagito.. e-even when he barely did anything.. Junko w-would tie him to a pole by the chain and would leave him there for all the creeps t-to.. t-too.. p-please don't make me say it.." Souda stuttered but couldn't finish it and just turned away.. "she left him out there, with no food or water for days and you know what happens when you leave someone so defenceless in the middle of despair.. right? And I was left to bring him back.. every time, It wasn't pretty, it was so inhumane and sickening.."Izuru mumbled while taking a step towards Sonia, who held a hand to her mouth and sobbed but took a step towards the taller and rested her head on his shoulder, for the first time Izuru took part in a conversation and she was happy he did. She could feel Izuru lightly pat her back, "I- thank you, Kamukara.." Sonia slowly pulled away and with soft sobs escaping her mouth, she left..

Everyone had a slight face of guilt or sadness but not Izuru, who kept his stoic expression "I will go find Nagito.." Kamukara mumbled as he began to walk but was stopped by a sudden pull on his arm, "why should you go!" Hajime shouted but was quickly brushed off by the other, "it's my responsibility too, so please Hajime, let me do this.." Kamukara responded softly and pulled away from the latter, he walked away from the dining hall in search of Nagito Komaeda.

Kamukara stood at the foot of the final island bridge after he had searched everywhere so it was only possible that he was here, he walked at a moderate pace across the bridge and searched as thorough as he could but still nothing. He left the island and approached the cottages, only to see Komaeda's cottage and he decided to try the cottage again.. he rang the doorbell and waited, Sonia peaked her head through the door and looked back inside then she opened the door for Kamukara too come inside.

Komaeda was sitting on his bed, his eyes were puffy and red but when he saw Kamukara he pulled his hood over his face, Sonia nodded towards him and took a step outside, leaving the two alone.. Kamukara sat on Komaeda's bed and lifted his hood up, "Komaeda, look at me.." the other mumbled as he looked at Komaeda, he slowly looked up at him to see that Kamukara had cupped his cheek, he leaned into the touch and stared up at the darker male, "you know that I'm not very good with feelings but I just want you to know" Kamukara began, "that's why I find you very interesting and special, because you know me better than most people and I don't want to see you hurting.." Kamukara pressed his forehead against Komaeda's and the latter gladly accepted Kamukara's touch,

"I'm sorry, Kamukara.. you've seen me at my worst, I bet it was horrid" Komaeda looked down and pulled away reluctantly. Kamukara watched him and looked down at Komaeda's hand then back up at the other and he slowly moved his hand to Komaeda's, "Nagito..?" Kamukara lifted Komaeda's robotic hand, revealing a black ring on his ring-finger.. "do you remember when I gave you this ring?" The latter asked, looking down at his lighter companion who nodded at the question, "of course I remember.. I could never forget, even if I wanted to.." he sniffled while wiping his eye with his sleeve before grabbing Kamukara's right hand, which revealed a matching black ring.. "I promise I'll ways care for you.. no matter, it is my responsibility to look after you.. or that's what I keep telling myself.. but I will never leave your side" Kamukara mumbled to Komaeda and pushed closer to him, Komaeda smiled and pushed away from Kamukara, "stooooop your embarrassing me!" He rubbed his eyes and covered his blushing face but the latter pulled his hands away and kissed them causing Komaeda to blush more.

"I like seeing you happy and I like being with you.." the darker one mumbled to his lighter counter-part, making him blush and turn away, "stupid Izuru.. stupid.." he mumbled as he moved himself into Kamukara's arms and hid himself in his neck while Kamukara lightly rubbed his back.

"Sorry, Zuzu"

"Zuzu?"

"Oh, shut up.."

"It's alright.. you shouldn't apologise.."

"Thank you, Zuzu.."
