Aurelia slowly opened her eyes with an arm wrapping her waist and a heartbeat could be heard. She looked up and saw Harry's already staring at her with a smile plastered on his face.
"Hey," he said with a raspy voice.
"What time is it?" she asked.
"Midnight," he answered.
"Wait, you haven't slept this whole time?" she frowned.
"No, I already slept, I just woke up before you did," he replied.
A group of butterflies suddenly took over her stomach once she realized she's currently cuddling with the one and only, Harry Potter.
"You were having cold sweats, Lia," he said. He then put the back of his hand on her forehead. "But you're not that burning anymore."
"Being sick sucks," she huffed.
"Well since you're awake and you haven't eaten your dinner, let's eat," he suggested. "Hermione and Ron brought you cream soup with some toast, oh there's muffin as well."
"I'm not hungry," she shook her head.
"Yes, but you need to drink your potion," he reminded her. He then grabbed the bowl of soup and said, "Aaaa, c'mon."
She huffed but complied anyway. She doesn't feel sick when she's eating but she just has zero appetites.
"Harry, I don't want the soup anymore, I'll just eat the toast and the muffin."
"Alright, but promise you'll finish them," he instructed and she nodded in return.
"Why are you here? not that I don't want you to, but why?" she asked while eating her muffin.
"Why not? You're sick. You need someone to be here with you," he said as he put a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"Yeah but why? Hermione could do it, besides you're spending the night at the girls' dorm right now," she said, taking another bite.
"You're my friend, Lia. . . Besides, I've been a massive git to you. I'm so sorry for the way I treated you back then, I do. I didn't know what came to me to treat you like that. I'm so sorry for not approaching you when your mum died, I'm sorry for leaving you behind like that and took Ron and Hermione from you too, I'm so so sorry-"
"Stop right there Harold, s'alright — I mean ok it wasn't alright but I already forgive you since you bought me those dolls," she smiled widely at him.
"Thanks for those dolls, really. . . And thank you for taking care of me now," she hugged him. "I want to kiss your cheek, but I'm afraid I'll spread my disease to you," she chuckled.
"I wouldn't mind," he shrugged, which made Aurelia throw a pillow at him.
Once she drank the potion, the effects hit her right away. One of them is sleepiness. She decided to lay down on her back again and Harry gently pulled her bed cover over her to warm her body.
"Good night," he said, kissing her temple."Would you like to stay, Harry? You're quite warm," she smiled at him.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," he grinned at her.
Aurelia moved to the side a little so Harry could sleep next to her. As he laid down, she immediately put her head on his chest and drew circles on his stomach.
He slightly panicked and could feel his heartbeat turned into allegro. He could only hope she wouldn't notice though it seems impossible not to.
Her touch feels like an endearment for him, scrapings up sour viscosities of nervousness, slowly but surely. A touch, so warm, so earthy that it feels home to him.
