"thanks for walking me home, ji. you really didn't need to" jeonhae said, maintaining eye contact with the boy.

"nahh, i'd go either way. well, i head back now. goodnight, jeonhae" jisung softly pressed a kiss on her forehead before rushing away. the girl giggled joyfully before entering her humble abode. upon entering, her face drained slight color at the sight of her brothers.

"..uh..hi?"

jeonhae, you dumb maggot—

"so, where have you been?" taeyong asked with his arms crossed. his sister scratched her nape, trying to find the right wording as she didn't want her brothers to misunderstand.

"i uhm-," she took a big gulp, "wasatthelibrarybecauseihaveanupcomingtestinafewdaysandicoincidentlybumpedintojisunganddontgetmewrongiwasalsosurpised," she took another big breath, "ididntthinkparkjisungwouldbethetypetolearnforatestandatfirsthehithisheadonsomethingsofuckinghardbutthenhowcouldherecognizemeifhedidand-"

[a/n: congrats if you could]

"the only thing i got from that was..nothing. what about you, youngheum?"

"if even you can't hear anything, how can i?"

"touche." the oldest among three looked at jeonhae with a raised eyebrow, along with youngheum mimicking him.

jeonhae sighed, "it has been a long day, man. give me a break. i'll tell you first thing tomorrow morning!"

youngheum replied, his voice equally as loud, "you better!"

meanwhile, at the park household, jisung was smiling so wide it even creeped the hell out of his brother. he hadn't seen the boy so happy since maybe he was seven when he was invited to chenle's birthday party at the water park.

jisung kicked his feet in the air, continuing by rolling left and right on his bed. that was until he fell of the bed and landed face first. he rubbed his nose in pain, not noticing that his older brother was leaning against the doorframe.

"bro, why are you all smiley? it's all scary to see you like this" jaehyung shuddered at the younger's behaviour.

"w-what about it?"

"it's odd to see you smile. why? did something good happen, hmm?" jisung's smile dropped into a frown, as if he didn't just smile brightly a few seconds ago.

"nothing happened. normal things only" he said in his usual monotone voice.

"nothing good happened?"

"as if."

"you sure about that?"

"jUST GO-" jisung was so close to attacking jaehyung with with shoe.
