"omg! it's them!"
"they're coming! omo!"
"guys, hurry up! DRM7 is here!"
[a/n: DRM7 is read as DREAM7 :) sorry for this shitty ass name but it's a fanfiction]
of course, DRM7. that's what ryu jeonhae would hear every morning as she walked through the school's hallway, where groups of fangirls would gather around 7 of the most popular boys at school. mark lee was the oldest, followed by huang renjun, lee jeno, and the list goes on.
jeonhae was walking to her first period alongside her best friends, lee jihyo and min daeyoung. "geez, jihyo. never thought your brother would be this popular at school. i mean, sure he's got the looks and everything, but is it necessary to scream and make them deaf? they should at least give him some space to breath" daeyoung said as she walked at a faster pace, trying to get away from the crowd.
jeonhae chuckled as jihyo spoke, "what can i do about it? it's not like either he or i can control it. most people only look at their visuals anyway."
"i agree with jihyo. just let them be" jeonhae continued. "whatever" daeyoung replied. jeonhae chuckled as they entered their first period: foreign language.
as they entered the room, there were a few students still finishing their homework, most likely because they either forgot or procrastinated on it. as they settled in their own seats, more students started filling the room.
the chattering in class soon died down as professor seo entered. "good morning, class. i hope all of you finished the homework i assigned to you yesterday. lee jihyo, please help collect the homework for me. i would appreciate it very much."
"excuse me, professor seo. i had other projects to make as well yesterday, so i couldn't finish the homework" a student from the back said. the professor shrugged, "not my problem."
"why does he always have to pick me?" jihyo mouthed to jeonhae and daeyoung as she stood up from her seat and started walking around, papers slowly piling up within her grasp.
"poor jihyo. it must be hard to be a role-model in class. one wrong move and you're out of the game, you get me?" daeyoung whispered to jeonhae. they watched as jihyo started collecting her classmate's homework.
as she finished off with the last sheets of papers, the door flung open, revealing a blonde-haired boy who seemed as if he ran a marathon. his hair wasn't neat, sweat covered his forehead, and his uniform wasn't buttoned, revealing a black t-shirt under the uniform. piercings hanged on his left ear, two on the helix and one on the antihelix.
"park jisung, late again. please go to your seat. this is the 5th time you're late" professor seo calmly said, not wanting to deal with any problems early in the morning.
"whatever, like i care" jisung mumbled as he walked past jeonhae to go to his unassigned "assigned" seat, which everyone knows is at the very back.
whispers broke out and students started to come up with nonsensical theories as to why the latter was always late. people always look at him as that one kid who never gives a fuck about school. everyone always sees him as the typical high school bad boy: breaking rules, having piercings, and their good looks. and yes, many say that park jisung is all of those.
although he gets accused by a lot of fake rumors, jisung stays unbothered at the fact that he and his reputation are not so good at school. luckily, he still has friends, and you guessed it, he's with DRM7.
"i wonder why he's so carefree. he arrives late to every first period and he doesn't have the best reputation in school. his marks barely reach the average and he doesn't seem to give a fuck about his surroundings either" daeyoung commented, making jeonhae snap her neck to the source of the voice beside her.
jeonhae furrowed her eyebrows at her friend's statement. "how do you know his marks?"
"i have my ways, bub. even if i'm wrong, he looks like someone who doesn't give a fuck about their scores." jeonhae let out a sigh, soft enough so that no one could hear her.
[a/n: in this school, all marks are kept a secret to prevent bullying. when people know other's grades, they normally tend to like, bully them because they can help improve other's grades by force. weird explanation, i know. i'm not a very descriptive person fyi]
ryu jeonhae wasn't the type to care about other people's businesses or anything personal, but that did not mean she was completely heartless. although she never really wanted to know what happens in other's lives, she wasn't the type of girl to talk behind people's backs. she sees that everyone has their own values, even the dumbest and most vulnerable have their own values.
she lightly slapped daeyoung's shoulder before whispering back, "don't talk about him like that, especially when he has reasons. i'm pretty sure there's a reason behind why all of those things happen. also, please mind language, daeyoung."
"says the person who curses for a living" daeyoung said jokingly, rolling her eyes at her best friend.
"shut the fuck up before i whoop your ass in the cafeteria"
"told ya." daeyoung chuckled at her best friend as realization hit her that she cursed twice in a sentence.
[a/n: hi there !! thank you for reading my new book :) i hope this chapter wasn't bad because i don't know how to feel about it and for a fact, i know this first one seemed a bit shitty. i'm not too satisfied with it because it doesn't really focus on jeonhae. (don't mind the weird ass pet names i give, i'm new to this) but i promise that moving forward, there will be more jeonhae scenes so please stay tuned!]
