오십일; 𝙛𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙣𝙚

jeonhae threw her bag across her room as she fell on her comfy bed. all day, she's been thinking about the video seri had kept showing her. the girl was no longer afraid of seri, but for the meantime, she had decided to keep her "scared" demeanour in front of her as a facade.

did she forget about the kiss? of course. 

she didn't.

she was overjoyed, in fact, to the point where her brothers had considered bringing her to a shaman to test whether she's been possessed by an evil spirit or not, and they were being serious.

in the 18 years their sister had lived with them, she was never smiling this crazy and it was low- no, highkey scaring them. despite that, they rather just mind their own business and continue  searching on enoi's location. 

jeonhae, of course, wanted to tell them about the night she and jisung were drugged and brought to the shed, where she was informed of everything that enoi had planned to do, where she was threatened, where she thought her will to live was hanging on the edge.

that week was one of the worst weeks of her life, obviously better than the week of her younger brother's death or the week she had her first period. but there's no time for reminiscing, so jeonhae immediately started brainstorming.

if i were to take seri and enoi down, how am i supposed to do that? i don't have my 01 status, so i don't have my license to kill people. i haven't entered the l.i.g.h.t. program either. shit, this is harder than i thought. 

[a/n: ok so i was supposed to write down the b.i.r.d program but my fucking brain can't even think of a name for it :'>]

now, you might be wondering what the l.i.g.h.t. program is. well, it is short for specialized stategic field comradeship training. it's main purpose is to develop juniors of the organization to higher agent levels, where when the program is completed, they would just have to wait before moving up the ranks and getting the 01 status and gaining an official partner.

only the board gets to decided which juniors were ready for this training, as it it also know to be harsh. so far, only taeyong had got an invitation to join the training. but even he didn't want to join yet, so he delayed the programme until august since by that time, everyone had had their birthday celebrated.

would it be a good idea to call renjun? i mean, it would benefit both parties anyway. he gets real life experience and i get advice from someone with the brains. i just hope mr. do wouldn't mind this.

jeonhae was so deep in her thoughts she didn't realize that the oldest sibling had been knocking on her door for the last 5 minutes. "sis, i'm only joking in games when i say i'm gonna ill you? are you really dead or something?"

the girl was brought into reality (as harsh as it sounds) and opened the door for taeyong. "what do you want?" she deadpanned, mood obviously ruined from lee taeyong's wonderful distraction. 

"nothing, i just wanted to tell you dinner's ready."

what the fuck- dammit.

"i'll be down in five. just east without me first." jeonhae rushed to find her notebook while taeyong shurgged and went downstairs to continue his dinner. the girl frantically took a random pen (and almost out of ink at that), took the lid of with her mouth, and scribbled her notebook with all the nonsense, or at least to her it was.

jeonhae closed the pen and sighed. she may have not started this game, but she surely is gonna be the one to end it. after all, she is ryu fucking jeonhae.

time skip to the next morning

"wake up wake up wake up-" youngheum kept shaking his little sister, who had apparently slept at midnight after finishing a drama to keep her mind off enoi and whatsoever is going on that's involving her.

"..what do you want from me now, you monkey?"

"i'm gonna ignore that fact that you called me a monkey but you're late for school, you fucking ho-"

"gOTTA GO!"

[a/n: p.s. *starts dancing*]

jeonhae had literally zoomed through her routine and rushed to school. she can't risk breaking her perfect attendance for the semester. she just can't. her classroom was right ahead and so she sonic-dashed and reached the class 0.01 second before the teacher started checking their attendance.

"hwang goeun."

"here!"

"kim hwiseob."

"present, sir!"

"bae tara."

"here!"

"park jisung."

silence.

"park jisung?"

still no response.

jeonhae looked around anxious. 

"late again, i assume. lee jihyo?"

everything else became a blur to jeonhae, the feeling keeping her on the edge of her seat. before she knew it, the teacher had been calling her name twice.

"ryu jeonhae? anything in particular that you'd like to share to the rest of the class?"

"no, i apologize for my behaviour." jeonhae stood up and bowed, sitting back on her desk while worrying for the boy.

i hope he's alright, i'll find renjun later.

class went on as usual; noisy classmates, teachers yelling, paper airplanes goign astray to the soccer field, and the list goes on. there was nothing eventful, that's what a normal student would think. but for jeonhae? she knows something is coming her way, and she ought to find what it is soon.

anyways, i came to tell u guys that i'll be taking a semi-hiatus from wattpad bc school has really been stressing me out with the exams and all, especially with all the materials i need to revise for the upcoming subjects,, i'm so so so sorry to make all of you wait so long but once i come back, i'll definitely double update the chapters bc you guys hv been so patient <3]
