Abducted

Chapter Five

*No one's POV*

Vlaire woke up due to the sunlight hitting her complexion. The sun was up. Rays of sunlight seeping through the light blue curtains. Its the first day of snow. This day sure is stunning. For sure couples will go to cafes and go on a date on this special day.

The day was great if only she was feeling alright. The day could have been better. With a heaping cold and high fever she went out of the bed trying her best to keep her balance. Only to realize Valorie wasn't in her bed anymore. Checking the time it was 8:30 in the morning.

One and a half hour before the cafe opens. She went to the bathroom and took a bath to cool herself a bit and took the medicine Valorie had left for her on her nightstand.

Quickly she went to the kitchen once she was done doing her morning routine. There stood Valorie near the counter cutting what seemed to be a roasted bell pepper.

A pack of loaf bread was beside a two plates with a loaf on it and a Jar of mayo. A box of cheese on the side. Beside was a bowl full of mixed mayo and cheese and was now being filled with roasted bell peppers then Val mixed it again.

Shortly she poured it on a nice clean Jar and was now stuffing our loaf bread with it. Surely she was making a cheese pimento sandwich. She then approched Valorie. Sitting on a stool near the kitchen counter where Val was and dipped into the spread.

In which Valorie quickly slapped her hands after dipping onto it. Vlaire snickered. "Im not gonna do a double dip though" She pouted. Well at least not after she slapped her hands. Valorie only chuckled then tossed the plate to her.

Which she managed to catch before it slipped down the counter. Taking her plate to the table and sat on the stool infront where Valorie had sitted. Just then Valorie's phone echoed through the room. She excused herself then stood up going to the counter where her handbag is,taking her phone in it.

After she saw the caller I.D she immediately answered the call. "Hey... Yeah..." She paused listening to what the caller said "I'm preparing for work..." Another long pause.

"She's eating her breakfast" she said "Oh you cant?" She asked then paused again "Oh no.Its fine, we can just take the bus... You dont have to we'll be fine" she said

"Really? Wow. Yeah, alright we'll find the time" Val said between pauses but it seemed like it was something good based on the tone of her voice. 

"Yeah, Alright. Goodluck...Bye" was her last words before she hung up. She put her phone back to her bag then went to her seat again. Vlaire looked at her waiting for her to tell her who it was. "It was Jake. He said he can't pick us up today" she mouthed an 'o' then nodded

"Do you remember sis Selena? Jake's older sister. She asked Jake if he could pick her from the airport since she'll stay here for a week for a photo shoot then visit Aunt Lily and Auncle Dean next week. She was hoping we could come along with her" Valorie said excitedly

"Sis Selena is back?!" Vlaire said making her stand up from her seat in excitement "Its been a long time, I do hope we could come with her" Vlaire mumbled. "Well we have to tell Mrs.Wilson if we want to come" Val Said. Vlaire nodded

"Anyways are you feeling better now?" Val asked. Vlaire nodded though that is'nt quite true. She just cant let Jake and Val work while she stays at their apartment doing nothing. Meanwhile the both of them are busy serving costumers and add the fact that sophie will not be there to help them for today is her day off.

"You sure?" She asked again to make sure. "Im really fine Val dont worry" Vlaire said reassuring her. Valorie nodded

After a short time they went to the bus stop waiting for the bus to arrive. The snow fall endlessly but it was calming watching snowflakes fall in a slow pace. Couples walking hand in hand, coffees on the other hand. Some taking a stroll with their colleagues on their way to their workplace stopping by at a nearby cafe.

It was a busy morning. It was Saturday their last day of work for the week. Soon the bus arrived. Vlaire satted on the window side. While Val settled beside me. Resting her head onto the closed window taking her phone from her slingbag plugged her earphones playing one of her favorite song _______ closing her eyes to take a short nap...

Soon they arrived the cafe. They arrived 30 minutes before 10 so they still have time to set the things up. The hours went by it was 11:00 still no sights of Jake but they do received some tips.

Thirty minutes later Jake arrived telling us Sis Selena Wants them to have few things. It was wrapped nicely and that he left it inside his car and he'll give it to them later at lunch.

They can only wonder what could it be. After the last costumer for the morning it was time to close the shop. Jake closed the shop and telling them to just wait in the car and consider it as a peace offering for he was late. In which they agreed. Well its not like they can stop Jake either so they just let him be.

This time they decided to go to a different place. Since they want something for a change the hours went by quickly that theres not enough time for them to look at Selena's gifts and having them to rush back to the cafe.

Well on the bright side they can still open it after work.
