Chapter 2 - To Close For Comfort

- One Week Later -

"Em!" Aaron shouted through the office to get her attention, she knows what that meant and started to make her way up to his office. "What's up" she asked as she entered the office. The truth being that there was a thing between them, but it wasn't serious just a kiss or a night here or there. However, both agents wished there was more, but Emily couldn't do that because then she would have to tell Aaron about Isabella, and how was she going to do that when she can't even say her own baby's name, Isabella Clementine Prentiss-Hotchner, or god knows what it is now.

"The door, babe" Emily closed the door, but this wasn't a booty call or a moment to steal a kiss, no Aaron looked conflicted and she didn't know why.

"Hey, are you ok, you have that look on your face again?" Emily asked

"Haha, I was about to ask you the same thing, Em you're bitting your nails again. Babe, I'm worried about you have been acting different since Charlotte got here, why?" oh god maybe I should tell him, I mean, I don't know, what if Charlotte is Isabella but what if she's not.

"Emily!" Aaron said snapping her out of her thoughts, it was clear Emily had something on her mind and Aaron understood he couldn't push her to say anything. So, he just decided to wrap his arms around her in the hopes it makes her feel a little better.

In that moment Charlotte knocked on the door and walked in, walked in on unit chief Aaron Hotchner cuddling with Emily Prentiss to looks to have tears running down her faces on the couch in his office. Emily wiped the tears as soon as Charlotte take notice of them and sitting herself up a little bit but failed because Aaron hadn't moved a muscle.

"Oh, sorry, I'll come back later"

"It's fine Charlotte, what do you need" Aaron said not moving from his spot on the couch with Emily, he didn't care that Charlotte had seen this, and knew full well that the other agents would have started talking about the pair as soon as Emily was out of ear shot.

"Um, JJ said we have a case and told me to come get you" both Emily and Aaron knew that they had to leave the comfort of one another arms and once again go through a rough case.

"Thank you, Charlotte, we will be there in a minute" Hotch smiled as Charlotte exited and closing the door once again. "Hey babe, I here if you need anything okay. If you need a cuddle or someone to listen while you vent I always here."

"I know, thank you I honestly don't know what I ever did without you and I promise I will tell what's on my mind I just have to get some more information and talk to someone, okay?" with that the pair let the office and headed straight for the conference room getting ready for yet another long case.

- On the jet -

"Hey Charlotte, we have worked with for a week now and we don't even know anything about you. Come on that a new record or babygirl so busting to do a deep dark web search on you if you don't give us something" Morgan begged, him and Penelope have been trying to figure out this so-called mystery of an agent.

"Ok 1. Please do not ever and I mean ever do a 'deep dark web search' on me okay, 2. You guys don't get to know all my secrets, cause some of them aren't just mind okay and there is a reason I haven't said anything and 3. Fine I give you something but what do want to know" Charlotte said very seriously, she had looked over to Emily a couple times while saying that but stopped when she released that Emily wasn't listen she was to engaged in a book. But little to Charlotte's knowledge Emily stopped reading and started listen when Morgan started begging.
