Liam returned home a smile plastered on his face. He also had Sam with him. They went to the living room and saw Axl talking something over with Slash. "I think they should," Slash said. "But that's a pretty big audience," Axl said. "They'll be fine. Besides, I'm good friends with Steven," Slash said. "Back to L.A," Axl said. "Liam's a smart boy. He just made one mistake. Besides he was fourteen, he's sixteen now," Slash said. "L.A is full of terrible people. Liam is small for his age. It would be easy for someone to take him," Axl said. "Steven won't let anything happen to any of the boys or Violet," Slash said. "Trust me he won't take an eye off them."
"What are they talking about?" Sam whispered to Liam. Liam shrugged and walked into the room. "Hey," He said as Sam walked into the room as well. "Well, did you get it?" Slash asked. Sam smiled and nodded. "Well, how would you guys like to open up for Aerosmith?" Axl asked. "Aerosmith?" Liam asked smiling. "YEAH!" Sam yelled. "Okay calm down and get the band over and then we'll call Steven to come and get you guys," Slash said.
Sam called the band over and they came in a heartbeat. They were all impatient to play with Aerosmith. Slash and Dave had played with them once before. After Aerosmith arrives they took an airplane and flew to L.A.
It was exactly how Liam remembered it though. Pretty lights, bars, and casinos. They got off of the airplane and Steven Tyler turned to the kids. "Okay, so your dad's would kill me if anything happened to you, so stay together," he said. "And don't wander," he added.
They went to a large house where Steven lived. "You'll stay here tonight, tomorrow you'll meet the band," Steven said. "They're here!" Aimee said. "Who's here?" Asked Liv. "The band," Amee said. "Aerosmith?" Asked Mia. "No, Axl Rose's son's band," Aimee said. "Why?" Asked Liv. "They're opening up for Aerosmith tomorrow," Aimee said. "Meet my daughters, Liv and Mia. Hey, where are the other two?" Steven asked. "At a friend's house," Aimee said.
It was so far from home and Liam was feeling a little homesick. He already missed Frances and Axl. What if Frances finds someone better than me? Liam thought. He shuddered but no one noticed. Liam knew Axl would be worried sick until Liam came home safe. And it hurt Liam to worry his father. As much as he wished Axl would just believe him when Liam said he'd be okay and nothing would happen, Liam knew that was far from the truth.
Ever since Liam was born Axl made a promise to not let anything happen to him. But he also made a promise that Liam wouldn't follow the same rockstar roots that Axl had. Axl didn't like the fact that his son was to have a spotlight that he may not like. He could see Liam's anger when the host of his first show had ignored all the other band members. However, it seemed they weren't bothered. As much as Axl wished he could tell Liam that he didn't want him to be a rockstar he knew that wouldn't be possible. Liam was going so far into the rock n roll life. He's got a record deal, he's playing shows, and he's opening up for Aerosmith. Sure Axl is proud that Liam is doing what he loves. Axl is worried about him. What if something happens to Liam while he's on tour? What if he gets too stressed? What if just hates it and his dreams are crushed. Slash reassures Axl that Liam is a strong boy and will get over what obstacles come in his way. And Axl wished he could believe him.
