I sat atop a building adjacent to the building the team was supposed to get the major distress signal from. Jason tapped away at the holo-computer while talking to Dick, I waited quietly for the team's mission to start. My device was with Batman, and the league was in their own cities and the Tower, in an effort to make things seem like everything was going in the Demon's favor.

The team was back at base as well, waiting for their mission alert. Artemis and Conner sat at the building to the left of ours. M'gann and Kaldur were with the team, preparing them, running through the plan. I was doing the same in my head, over and over again. It had to run perfectly.

Someone unknown was going to make a 911 call, we assumed a league associate.

We would intercept the dispatch signal.

Send the team in. They get trapped inside, with rebreathers on, they secure the building.

The secondary team will release them when Robin signals us the all-clear.

Over and over again I thought through the steps.

"Hey, snap out of it." Jason shook my shoulder, slightly startling me. I looked up at Red, I couldn't see his face through his helmet, but I knew him, and I knew his brow was furrowed.

"Sorry I was really deep in thought." He chuckled, it sounded hollow with his helm.

"I know, there's still like an hour before anything's supposed to happen. You want coffee?" I smiled, he knew me so well.

"Please." He squeezed my shoulder before nodding in Nightwing's direction. He then grappled off the roof.

"You seem stressed." Nightwing sat next to me, his legs dangling over the edge with mine.

"I'm fine."

"You were my sister long enough for me to know when somethings wrong, you might've grown but you haven't changed in very many ways."

"Was I ever really your sister." He sighed.

"You've always been my sister."

"Then why did you abandon me when I needed you the most."

It was silent for a moment, I was so mad.

"I should have done more, I shouldn't have let you go, and I will carry that guilt with me forever. I don't like the way you turned out, but it's all my fault." He looked down, I could hear the guilt in his voice. "I will never ask or expect you to forgive me. I don't deserve that. I hope one day you can trust me enough to call me your brother again and mean it."

I looked at him for a moment before turning away, keeping my face like stone.

"I wanted to come back sooner, but I... I hated you, all of you..... so much. When I found my father it wasn't what I expected, he was a cruel leader, the only special treatment I received from him was respect, money, and he didn't yell and scream at me like he did foot soldiers. Yet he was so much harder in me, he was not my dad." I went looking for my dad and I never found him, I found a sperm donor. "I was searching for a grave or maybe a druggie, not the second in command to an entire secret society of assassins,"

He looked at me with curiosity.

"I wanted to come back because I hated what I had found, but I was trapped."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be, I did it to myself."

Jason then made his way up the fire escape, he had a tray with coffees and a bag in his hands.
