Kenma x cashier! reader

(Kenma pov)

I was walking into my favorite game store, and saw someone I have never seen before. They looked like a new person working there.

I walk up to the game section and pick out the new game that just came out. I head to the table and put my head down, avoiding eye contact as usual.

They take the game and scan it. "Your total will be $4.99" They said. I handed them $5 and they put my game in a bag, put the receipt in and gave me the bag.

"Have a nice day sir," They said and went back to their switch.

(TIMESKIP)

A few weeks go by, and I kept on seeing that person everywhere. Apparently their name is (Y/n).

"So, why do you think you keep seeing them everywhere?" Kuroo asks me. Me and Kuroo were heading over to the frozen yogurt shop down by Aoba Joshai.

"I don't know," I say, as I look back at my switch. We walk into the yogurt shop and make our yogurt.

We sit down at a table by this couple and start eating.

A few minutes later, we hear crying at one of the tables. We both look up and see the couple. The girl was crying and the boy just set down some paper.

"What about our daughter?!" The girl said. As on cue I hear a girls voice. "Mom? Dad? What's going on?" I look over to see the cashier from the gaming shop, and the same person I keep on seeing everywhere.

"Nothing sweetie!" The mom said, smiling widely, with tears still falling down her face. "I'm telling (Y/n) the truth. Me and your mom are getting a divorce,"

I looked at them and they looked at me for a split second. I look into their eyes. They looked shocked and sad at the same time.

After what seemed like forever they looked to the ground. "Whatever," They say and walk out.

(TWO MONTHS LATER)

(Your pov)

It's been a few months now, and Kenma and I became closer. Now he helps me out at the game store, and we hang out after work and school.

I was walking to Nekoma because Kenma had a pracrice game with Kurasuno. I head up to the bleachers and wait for the game to begin.

A few minutes later, the game was starting. I looked at Kenma and blushed a bit. I looked at how the red of his jersey complimented his hair and eyes so well, and how determined he was to play and win against Kurasuno.

I have to admit, I've had a crush on him for a while, but never said anything about it for the fear of getting rejected.

He looks up at me, smiles, and then waves. I wave back with an even bigger smile on my face.

(AFTER THE GAME)

I was waiting for Kenma to come out with Kuroo, but Kuroo was the only one. He walks up to me with a little smirk on his face.

That's when I got nervous. It's never a good sign that Kuroo is smirking. "Hey, (Y/N), Kenma asked me to give you this," He says and hands me a letter.

He usually would be fine talking to me, so I was kinda scared. Does he not like talking to me anymore? We were fine a few hours ago.

Kuroo walks away amd I open the note. "(Y/N), please come to the cherry tree we usually hang out at. I have a suprise for you.-Kenma<3"

I blush at the little heart and put the note in my bag, heading to the cherry tree.

I did wonder a little what he wanted, but I didn't question it. I get to the cherry tree, and see no one around.

"Kenma?" I say, looking around. A few seconds later, he comes out from behind the tree, holding sunflowers. My favorite. (If it isn't just change it to your favorite flower)

He was blushing, which is rare. "I need to get something off my chest, (Y/N), I really really like you... And I just wanted to ask if I could be your boyfriend..,"

I start blushing like crazy, letting a few happy tears fall from my cheeks. "I would love that, Kozume." He looked at me with a smile on his face and pulled me in for a hug. "I love you so much..,"
