Juli bit her lip, trying to calm down. She breathed in and out. "Where... is... Hendery?" She said calmly.

No one dared to answer. No one even dared to look at her. They all had been going behind her back to make sure she wouldn't realize that they had to keep Hendery away, so he wouldn't be in danger, and couldn't be used against them. Even Hendery had agreed this was the best decision since they never know what would happen if they were to bring him with them.

"Jules, we can't have him with us. It's for his own safety too." Jennie was the first one who spoke.

"Care to elaborate more on that?"

"We don't know what will happen to him if he's too close to the witch physically. You know it yourself the closer they are the harder it is for Hendery to control himself." Jaehyun said.

"And with that, she could use Hendery against us, or threaten us." Irene added.

"What makes you think she won't be able to use him against us when he's not with us?"

"Look," Ten signaled for everyone to leave him alone with Juli and they did. "He is safe in the North and he is being watched by the guards at all times. Nothing will come to harm him," he paused for a while. "We have a bigger problem ahead of us. I think we should be more focused on that."

"I know," Juli pushed his hand off her shoulder. "I just..." she stopped herself from continuing her sentence. She looked away like she wanted to be left alone. The air suddenly felt hot, and there was mist covering them. "I think we're here."

The Capital Island of the Fire Nation. Her birthplace.

She ignored the light headache that came over her. The block in her mind was still there, but she felt it slowly going away as she discovered the truth of her past more and more.

"The general wants us to stay put first as they check the area," Mark said behind them.

There were five other ships with them full of soldiers. The plan was for Juli and Yuta to confront the witch, but they didn't come unprepared. No one knew how big the witch's army was on the Capital Island.

Everyone stayed silent, waiting for a signal for them to move. They haven't left the ship, still waiting for the general's command.

"Guys,"

Mark's panic voice caught everyone's attention. It was hard to see their surroundings because of the thick fog—no— steam, the mist that was blocking their view.

"I know this is a wooden ship, but I can feel it sinking." Mark let out a nervous chuckle. "Right? Or is it just me?"

Juli and the rest of them went to the railing. She let out a burst of air from her mouth to clear out the steam near the ship so they could see if they were really sinking or not.
