"See, Mrs. Hwang is nice right?" Jay asked. Sunghoon and the blond male were FaceTiming while doing homework, in hopes to help each other out. Their English class finished just ten minutes ago and if Sunghoon was completely honest, he didn't want it to end. The more Jay tried to explain the lesson they just had though, the more confused he'd get. That's what he gets for staring at... staring at Jaeyun all period.
"Yeah, she's pretty nice. I, I just couldn't focus all period" He admitted. The mechanical pencil in Sunghoon's hand was behind swirled his fingers around until it finally got flung across his desk. It made a soft noise as it hit the wall and fell onto the farther corner of his desk. The sunshine was no longer right in front of Sunghoon's room so he decided to open up his curtains to get a look outside.
He never did like going outside until it got taken away from him. The more time he spent indoors, the more he realized he enjoyed being out with friends or family. He loved his family and all but, he needed to get out of the house, it was driving him crazy. Being trapped in his house for around five months now? Of course, there'd be people tired of being in quarantine.
"Why? You alright?" Jay asked and looked up to examine the younger's expression. Sunghoon's expression was blank. Or at least he tried to keep it blank as if he didn't try, he'd be red. "Yeah I'm fine," The blond squinted his eyes at Sunghoon until he shook his head momentarily.
"That look on your face tells me otherwise. Is it something about the class?" He was genuinely concerned for his best friend. This side of Jay was not unknown to Sunghoon but it was weird to see the concerned face on the older male. "Okay okay, can I be completely honest?"
Jay nodded with a reassuring smile. One thing he loved about Jay, he was very reliable when it came to telling him his feelings."I'm was kinda s-staring at someone the whole class" Sunghoon was blushing a very noticeable red. Jay's eyes brightened and he smiled brightly. "Who? Who?! Park Sunghoon wHo" He began, bringing his phone closer to him. Sunghoon didn't know what to do with himself. He didn't want to seem too flustered but every time he told himself not to blush, he thinks back to Jaeyun.
"Jaeyun... Sim Jaeyun" He answered lowly. The younger male never did fall for people so it was a shocker to Jay. But then again, Sunghoon had yet to find out why he felt such a strong pull to Jaeyun. Was it the way he talked? Was it the way he smiled? Was it the little giggle that escaped his lips before he muted his mic? Was it solely because his visuals attracted him compared to the others?
"I don't think I like him in that way but, I couldn't take my eyes away from him" He confessed. Suspicious doesn't, he sound? "I mean I just saw him today and I haven't talked to him so what if he's a jerk? Maybe he isn't interested in becoming my friend. Yeah, he's too smart to talk to me" Sunghoon ranted his feelings out under his breath, making Jay laugh.
"Sunghoon just calm down. Maybe it's just because he was the only one who interacted with the teacher in class. I mean, he was the only one besides you to unmute and talk" Jay shrugged. No, Jay didn't believe that. He knew his friend was going through feelings he hasn't felt before. Sooner or later, Sunghoon would face that.
"Is he in any of your other classes?" Jay asked. The younger male looked off to the side and bit his bottom lip. Has he seen the brown-haired male before? He would notice if he was in his classes before but he didn't think he ever saw him before. Or, so he thought. "Dude wait, he's in our maths class" Jay was also lost in his thoughts. Math was also another class the two shared and the older remembered seeing a certain male's name in class one day.
"H-he is?" Sunghoon perked up and looked deeply into Jay's eyes through the screen. "I believe so, I talked with him one class when Mr. Yoon paired us together" The other nodded. "You know if you're so interested in him, you should talk to him one day," Jay suggested. The older went back to focusing on the paper in front of him. "And if you do want to try and talk to him, I saw Jungwon hanging out with him one day. Maybe you should go ask him for his social media or something."

Sunghoon didn't even dare to message the younger. How could he? How could he even approach Jungwon like that? Just go, 'Hey Jungwon, I was in English and stared at your friend all period. Can I have his Insta?' He died thinking about the idea. So instead, he found himself hunting through Instagram to find a certain someone. How weird he's acting, isn't he?
Sunghoon looked through Jungwon's following list, scrolling through the hundred people he followed. There were names of many classmates they had back in middle school, as well as some friends they aquatinted with in high school. It took a few minutes but the raven-haired male stopped at a very familiar name, Sim Jaeyun.
He clicked on the male's account and waited as all of his posts, bio, and highlights loaded in. In his bio one thing that stood out the most, '심재윤 // Jake Sim' He has two names? Sunghoon took the time to scroll through his male posts, of which he confirmed it was in fact the teenager from his English class.
He didn't notice it but Sunghoon was smiling like an idiot, wow stalker much— Jake, as he's found out his English name, had many adorable photos of himself on his feed. There were a few photos with a tan dog that he always smiled brightly at. There were some photos with Jungwon and Sunoo in, which shocked him. But one photo made his heart skip a beat. Jake was sitting down on his bed, hugging a huge plushie that seemed bigger than him. The brown-haired male had black hair in the photo. Jake had the biggest smile ever, his eyes were closed and his expression seemed very relaxed.
"What am I even doing? I'm literally stalking him right now..."
